For me, this resulted in some pretty intense RP scenes.
Dispite all that went wrong, people still had fun. The chase across Endor roxzored.
The guild war increased immersion dramatically.
Your personal Analysis of what went right.
The freaking Endor chase was the coolest. The whole thing was worth it just for that. Realism or no... we need more crashes that end in chase scenes across lush planets.
Even if I did aggro everything on the planet.

What went right for me:
The immersion was very good, this includes the action as well as the RP.
It stirred up some real emotion and allowed me to explore other facets of my character. When put through intense stress, you tend to learn more about who you really are. That's what Ekade went through.
Truly knowing your self will be your biggest strength.
What went right for all of us:
We are getting a chance to explore how our guildwar thing works in times of open conflict. Every little glitch we encounter is something we can work out and make future events go that much smoother.
We got to shoot at one another a whole lot.
Some of us who have not RP'ed with eachother in the past are getting a chance to do so now. Conflict generates RP. We are starting to build relationships and history together, all of this makes future RP interactions easier and more interesting. We are getting to learn more about eachother's characters.
It's not only friendships... Rivalries and hatreds are building up, again more fuel for RP.

Hey, I'm working on that.
I climbed 6 CL's since that chase, thank you very much.
Where would you be without the Whar tag-along?
I'm like that completely uneccessary addition to your enterage.
What the hell purpose did I serve in this anyway?

You helped slow us down, allowing the enemy plenty of time to set up an ambush.warsloth wrote:Hey, I'm working on that.

My favorite part of the endor chase was the one-liners that Batak and Hojo were throwing around. I felt like I was in late night cable sci-fi B-movie. It was great.

Actually I think it makes your character more interesting to RP with. Most of the characters I interact with are CL80 and solve their problems by brute force.warsloth wrote:you do wonders for my self esteem, have I told you that lately?
Yours is different in that you are wiley and doggedly determined. Whar gets things done, somehow. You are very "outer-rim".
The enemy does not consider you a threat, and the good guys do not value you as much as they should. You are the perfect "unlikely hero".

We found that the War mechanic does add to the RP. Something, again, I'll admit to having been adamantly against to begin with. But, it works, with a few areas that needed some work in. So, it helped us identify some problem areas too.
The arc... mixed feelings about this still.
Some dramatic moments though and those did work well.
The chases... they were pretty cool.

What went right:
I generally considered temple pretty self-interested. That is, you guys have a lot of RP, but i don't see much happen with it outside of Temple.
I think, even though i really wasn't, this is the first time I felt "involved" in a temple RP session. Just seing you guys randomly when i travelled (and i did get to delay mercs and lay a taste of pwn on their group of 5) was really nice.
PVP-RP: Seems like you reinforced the ideals of this system, though ran into a simple flaw of game mechanics... Temple is simply outgunned, outmanned, etc.
One thing I used to hate...I'm supposed to be running TTF. Now its a trade federation, not some small company, its supposed to police all of talus space trade. Sometimes we get into periods of time (kinda like now) that we have only a handful of very active members...this makes it real hard to "feel" large.
I wanted to write myself in, anyway possible, to help temple with numbers..but as I said before its just a hardsell on my alien hating toon. I helped the one time posing as a random Stormtrooper which i then acted like was just a temple supporter or rebel in disguise...delaying the Mercs team for a good while and finally dropping them all with a grenade/concussion combo

whoa, back this train up. The rails are going bye-bye.
Underdog factor rules out Whar for that experience.
So back to the matter at hand...
I think we communicated well in certain areas, like the tracking agreement between Isleh and Kirt. This is similar to the slave event where a tracker was placed, then the bounty was later rounded up by Pale. Personally, I found that method to be really cool. kinda like, :I ahve you now, but I'll just let you freak out about it for a while, then pick you up later." I felt it made for a very sinister character trait. (but no one picked that up because I suxor teh event writing)
