Hell yeah! Another great sports sunday in Chicago!

last sunday it was the Bears kicking the vikings ass all over, and the Sox clinched the ALCS to go to World Series

This week the Bears win a defensive slugfest with the ravens (knocking mouthy ray lewis out of the game)
...#1 Defense in the NFC (maybe the nfl after this week)
...only allowed 1 touchdown in the redzone (#1 redzone def)
...haven't allowed a single rushing touchdown all season
...now are #1 in the NFC North (yeah the division sucks, but it #1 still goes to the playoffs)

and the Sox homered in the ninth to win game 2 of the World Series...

good times!

Is this the first time the Sox have been to the World Series since Shoeless Joe?

Been once since then, in 59 losing to a Koufax/Drysdale pitched Dodger team. Last time the won was that pre-scandal Shoeless JJ squad, if you ever look at his stats for the 1919 WS you see why his defenders say he was not part of the group trying to throw the game, http://www.baseball-reference.com/j/jacksjo01.shtml
No matter who wins, its refreshing to see something different.

Oh yes I'm one of those that feel he was robbed, I think he was added to the scandle simply to make a point of the matter and targeting a big player. But that's just my opinion.
