Which one?

I pose a very important question to all of you out there. Possibly the most important question in the history of all mankind.

Xbox 360 or PS 3?

Now, I am not a real tech head. I don't care what a teraflop is or that the PS 3 processor supposedly can do more. What does that mean in terms of the game? Am I going to care if the processor can only do 1 teraflop as opposed to 2?

Basically, here is my thinking. The original Xbox sucked. I don't care about all the amazing technical specs...the games were (by and large) shit. And I didn't like the controller. PS2 had PLENTY of shitty games too, but they had a lot of games I liked to play and for some reason, their controller is far more comfortable in my hand. Hence my trending towards continuing along the SONY path.

What does everyone else think?

Well I've always been a fan of Final Fantasy and I hear the next release is going to be on XBox 360, I also loved KOTOR and all the Star Wars Games seem to be on XBox too so that's what I would lean towards.

All in all I've always been a fan of PS systems and agree the controller has a better feel, but I find many of the games are released on the same system's and just pick the system that tends to carry my favorite line of game that isn't on the other system.

Back in the Day it was Nintendo because it had Mario Brothers and Final Fantasy which I preferred to the Sega counterparts (Sonic, Phantasy Star I think).

So I would lean to XBox 360 at the moment. *shrugs*

I got my Xbox at the time when it just came out along with the PS2 and Gamecube. I watched demo CDs from all three systems and I cannot lie..in the end I chose the Xbox because it offered more Star Wars games That and it was Microsoft and I figured they've taken over just about everything else so it was only a matter of time before they achieved world domination.

I don't totally regret my decision as the Star Wars games were well worth having the Xbox, but as Krush mentioned the majority of the games sucked...(Ninja Gaiden being the only non-star wars game I found worth getting).

All that being said, if I had to make the same choice today, I would pick the PS3. Simply because the PS always has a much larger selection of games. Yeah they have crappy games too, but when you look at the numbers game even with all the crappy games they still have more good games than the Xbox.

Seems like Playstation is the favorite, according to these guys. How unbiased or reliable their reviews are, I have no idea. So take it for what it's worth, I guess.

From what I read, the new final fantasy game (FF XII) is coming out only on the PS3. FF XI (the online one that nobody plays) is the one that is being released on the Xbox.

Then I'll also be getting the PS3, I'm sorry but that one line of games is worth more then Star Wars on a console system. That's what I have SWG for.

And on the bright side they also have Grand Turismo, although I haven't really enjoyed it since GT2 but I keep holding out hope it will get better.

I don't think I've played 10, can't remember. Although if that's the one with Sin that was a pretty decent game. So far II, III, 7, and 8 have been my favorites.

Skip all the cool graphics I'd rather have a another one like FF II or III. I still play those games. FFII is my all time favorite game, Cecil was the best main character I've seen in an RPG.

good to know, same holds true in my home. I think the last time I had MTV on in our house is when Jim Carrey slammed them at the awards ceramony.

I'm waiting for the PS3 for a whole buncha reasons. I've heard from a whole lot of people that the graphics 'prettyness' factor between the current XBox and the 360 aren't that much of a leap, whereas the diffrence between the in game PS2 and PS3 graphics are amazing to me (especially the Metal Gear stuff they've been showing). Personally, I think there's too little time between the Xbox release and the 360 release, whereas the PS2 has been out for a loooooong time and still has graphics that are close to the Xbox. Anyone heard if the PS3 is going to be backwards compatable like the PS2? If it is, that seals the deal since I have a load of PS2 and PS games.

Still, I will purchase a Revolution shortly after the PS3 simply because I'm a Nintendo whore.

PS3 is supposed to be totally backwards compatible to the original Playstation. Xbox has been skirting the issue by saying you can play Xbox's "Greatest hits" and the general consensus is that (as of right now), Xbox will not be completely 100% compatible.

Unless new press releases have come out since around E3 that say otherwise, I think that is pretty current.

Yeah well thats not what I play FF for. Plus everyone knows that Jabe changes clothes once every 3 months anyway. He needs a good twi'lek girl who is willing wash his clothes. After three months, that underwear can get pretty rancid.
