In the short time my last post stayed in this forum those were the people who openly agreed with my opinion, or at least supported something needing to be changed.
So thanks to those who felt the need to tell me how offbase I am and how no one agrees with me.
2 of those are guildies, fine...the rest aren't though.
Anytime someone suggests something on this site, if there's abacking for it..there have been votes or general pushes for it with no resistance by the admins. Since it "shows what the community wants" however this one got closed for debate before half the forum regulars could even see it.
That doesn't speak "community" to me...more like the "ity" has been replaced with an "ism"
Now I get some ban threats for saying i disapprove of the way people have handled the situation. Not personal attacks, just saying i disapprove.
Get over yourselves, quit pretending like this is a valid community when you censor and shut down any ideas you don't like.
Go ahead, ban me since no one questions your mighty rule.

I agree that the current methods of handling problems have proven to be inadequate. With that being said I will add that I don't see eye to eye with anyone on either side at this time.

I decided only to go knee deep not neck deep this time.

Hey...if you all want my job here, you can have it. It was always my intention to make SWG Tales as friendly and positive as we could since the SOE boards were anything but that. Since the way we've been trying to handle issues has been so appalling to everyone, I'll be more than happy to hand over the reigns. Personally, I'm sick of everyone trying to tell us how to run our site. Our rules work until someone decides not to follow them, which is about every other day. When we try to enforce those rules, we get told that we don't support the community, but if we follow the suggestions everyone like to throw at us, there would be no community, there would only be the few thick skinned people that could handle being berated and flamed when they posted. So, if that's what everyone wants...fine, but I won't be a part of that. You all can be admins and I'll just go back to being a regular user.

I would like to point out that the team does provide for the forum users. We have all the forums covered, we keep any technical or content issues that come up under control fairly quickly. We have enough people to cover our duties and when we haven't had enough people, we've appointed more people. Recently Jabe's done a lot to make the site better. We're always looking for more ways to make it better. And we've always asked people to please PM us with suggestions and if they have concerns about anything.
However...this is seperate from the community. Our community is very active in game and out of game. The community is what decides how to role play and what is fashionable for the moment in role play. It decides what is fun to roleplay and who will go where to do what.
The team and the rules of the forum never tell the community how to roleplay or how to game. They are simply the rules of the forum, and the people who act as mods and admins uphold those rules.
The team is composed of people who both play regularly and some who can't play regularly due to RL stuff, just don't care to make dramatic posts about it. The point is, we still do our job for the community and we do it well.
If the community is having problems getting along with each other, I might suggest we all look to each other first before we look to point blame at people who are already preforming and providing a lot for everyone.

Feel free to ask SOE to make you a private TTF Forum, you ungrateful ass. Better still, use Zannon's link and make your own forum.
Hey, whose turn is it to complain about how unfair this free website is this week? Maybe I can take a turn next week.
Newsflash: Not a democracy. It's a privately paid for and run site that is free to use and was built in the hopes to foster a community. Which it has.

No, get over YOURSELF. Quit pretending that we're going to sit there and let you talk to us like that and not do something about it. You may own all in PVP, but this is the real world. I welcome you to join us in it.
You're not entitled. Come into my house and be that ungrateful ("Thanks for the forum, maybe I should suck your cock") for the free hospitality, and you're going to get the boot in your ass.
