Death of Diplomacy

To some members here (no names please) diplomacy might as well be dead. I've sat and watched serveal friends rant back and forth. Heated discussions have lead to one guild's leaders thinking of leaving the SWGT boards and over what? An individual did not follow sertain RP guide lines set forth by this community. Instead of backing those who called this player out on it in public a moderator locked the thread then gave notice to the offender via PM. This process is laid out in the guide lines of the site but the individuals who called out this player felt that they're concerns where being ingnored. Since the player was given notice via PM the guild leaders had no idea that they were in fact sided with. Past experiences lead them to believe that they were being singled out again which has lead to some harsh words exchanged. If things were handled in a more diplomatic way it would have not hurt so many feelings on both sides.
To those who are thinking right now why tip toe around an issue think about how people will resive this post by me. I have not named any one nor have I given harsh critism to any one beyond stating the facts of this issue in a nutral maner. I would like to think that my aproach to major arguments has leaded to peoples whilingness to aid me when it comes to RP projects I have worked on. I do get support from this community.
Puting things diplomaticly is an art form unto itself. To perfect it one must always practice but slips can be expected from time to time. However there are those among our comunity who do not attempt to be diplomatic and at times this gives the wrong impression of the person and all those closely assosiated with the person including guilds the person maybee party to. Those of you out there that I know are good and descent people who do not pratice this art form I ask to please give it a try for a month and see how things turn out for you.
To the moderators you've all done an excellent job providing a place for roleplayers form all across Gorath to meet and exchange ideas. Know this when a large group of people come together things like this will always arise it is how we all handle it that counts. However, when a group begings to all say the same thing in reguards to how they feel they are treated there may be something to it past the flames and rants.
To every one else remeber this is a game in which there is no punishment for playing bad rp. We here have come up with some rules to guide our rp but there really is nothing that holds anyone to it. Since there is really little support in-game for us roleplayers we must police ourselves and hope that we can do it wisely with little error, but we are all human, and we have no real power to back it up other than banning people from our events and from posting here.

Oh one more thing. To all the moderators I couldn't find a previous thread that fitted with what I felt needed to be said so I felt it nessesary to start this one.

no I'm just trying to apeal to better sence of judgement that I know many here have and maybee try to get people to aproach disagreements more diplomaticly thats all.
