That is what your Boyfriend/Girlfriend/Significant other should be put in when their RP radar goes off when you step your first foot into a rp event, and they need your complete and total attention, or must talk to you about absolutly nothing.

I should know, my girlfriend has said radar. The moment I set foot in the Crazy Roba, she has stuff she needs to tell me about, despite we sit at our pcs, her at Neopets, me playing SWG in total silence. But once I go into RP mode, she needs me for something or other. Or she wants me to come to bed with her, but as she says I don't have to. She just would really like me to and it would make her happy.... Yeah, she may as well ask why I don't like her mother, if I think she's fat, and if those pants make her ass look big. Cause there is only one right answer, and it's not rp'ing in the roba, or the lucky depot, or even aprehending a suspect for questioning.

Which is why I wana apologize for anyone trying to converse with me, but would get no answer from me. For that, you can thank my girlfriend, so sorry DuoX, and Jadana, E-bo... and everyone else who may have tried talking to me. Hopefully I will learn to use the force power "RP block" and she'll think i'm doing some mindless action I am not having fun with and not try to stop me from rp'ing heh.

Yeah, I do want to say I love my girlfriend more than anyone else in the world, we are close to our two year anniversary, and have lived together for over a year now. There is no one more perfect for me than her and we have an amazing relationship, but it just seems like odds are against me when it comes to rp'ing with my full attention to it.

LOL.. it is a constant battle. Just be sure to tell the people that you are talking to that "RL strikes again". Most everyone is understanding.

I usually can't have any real fun until the children are tucked in their beds... and yes.. their bed times are structured around Ekade's social agenda.

I'm learning that even 80yr olds can be kids when something breaks. I think the main reason I dont have kids is cause I deal with to many grownups that act like em. I love kids, but I dont love overaged kids.

I've thought of starting my own PC building company, but with no large sum of money to start it (Buying a stock of parts, advertising, things like that) I haven't went through with it. Also I know what you mean about the adults with questions like children.

I don't expect people to be gods with pc's, but I do ask some common sense.

Best tech support question i've ever answered was my girlfriends Grandma who asked "Now when AOL says 'we' were unable to connect you, what do they mean 'we'? Does that mean a hacker is getting my information and ordering things off ebay?"

This is one of those questions your brain just shuts down when trying to process, cause it's so stupid, your brain thinks there is a deeper meaning behind it. To which I started thinking of a reply in my internal voice. "Well when the pc says 'we' it means we in the sense of it being a living being but...." then I thought on what I was saying and could already start to see what her next reply would be "THE COMPUTER IS ALIVE!?!?!?! I told you big brother was watching me!!!!"

So yeah, I just ended up giving a few "uh"s and "Um"s before ignoring it and moving on.

But of coarse this is the same woman who wondered how she got 700+ instances of spyware, tons of Viri, and 90 or so processes running when she only goes to every freaking pop up that comes on her screen. I mean especially when out of the blue your 6th cousin detatched 5 times by marrige to your uncles half sisters son calls you out of the blue and wants you to fix their broken computer and when they finish tellin you who they are your like... "Who are you again?"

Every single time any of his family had a problem.. he took their computer for a week, regardless. Guess what, after a time his phone stopped ringing.

I just bitch and gripe how stupid my family is and they've thankfully stoped asking me stupid questions about computers. Doesn't help when my dad breaks the comp every 2 days.

I started my own computer build/repair service a few years back called R-Tech Systems (Got my city business lisence framed). This was during my second year of college when I was working as a "computer technician" for the public library (I wasn't allowed to fix any of the problems that arose, I had to just document them. I ended up turning into the guy helping people use the computers). Since I always helped people with comps, and older couple told me I should do that on the side with people's home computers (they had a comp at home they couldn't use). I did and business took off. I only sold one built system, but people would always call me to fix their machines. I didn't have a set price, I would tell people to charge me whatever they thought the service was worth. I didn't really care because it was usually stuff like monitor not plugged in (you honestly wouldn't believe how many times I had to "fix" that). Older people, who were like 90% of my clientel, would pay me up to $50 for a couple mins worth of plugging the right cables into the right places.

Then I got Mrs Richardson. She had a small problem with her system that I didn't know how to fix. Her comp was running Win95, and I changed it to 98 (had a theory that I would "overwrite" the problem, which I did) and she paid me $100. I came over a few days later to show her little things that were different, and she paid me $100 again. Then she started calling me all the time about computer problems, which I figured was not a big deal since there was a cool Benjamin Franklin in it for me. The problem was she didn't care too much about the computer and was more interested in getting me to like her granddaughter, who I'm sure was a nice girl, just not quite my type.

After that, I quit my job and moved away. I put R-Tech on hold and said I'd go back to it one day. I'm afraid that if I ever do start it up again, Mrs Richardson will be the first call I get.
