Gramps sued for grandsons dloads

The Motion Picture Association of America filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against Fred Lawrence of Racine, seeking as much as $600,000 in damages for downloading four movies over the Internet file-sharing service iMesh.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...I'm sure gramps has $600k lying around to pay the movie industry

I think unless the porn industry gets up in arms about all this stuff I am safe. Poor gramps. Hope they were good movies.

Lawrence said his grandson, who was then 12, downloaded "The Incredibles," "I, Robot," "The Grudge," and "The Forgotten" in December, without knowing it was illegal to do so.

Well Lawrence, that would not be my choices if I had to pay 600k to watch 4 movies.

Wow. The movie industry going after the elderly and the 12 year olds.

With dwindling quality of movies, increased ticket prices, this is a bold public relations move.

I'm sure things will just get better for them from here.

The movie industry: The only place where you can see ads making you feel guilty for pirating their merch while you watch the merch you actually paid for.
