One last thing and anyone can reply to this thread. How can we enforce the rules if we never backup our warnings with action? We can't. We have to back it up.

This is not about not finding something funny or not. I like Kirt, hell I even like Zo even though we don't see eye to eye. We try to keep this place as open and free as possible. But when people start doing things simply because a mod asked them not to do them - it becomes a problem.

Hey I love Zo too He's my first In-game friend from Galaxies but when a person keeps pushin the eject button dont be surprised that your soaring over your ship watching it nose dive into the side of a moutain. Rulles need to be enforced plain and simple. If there is no enforcment then whats the point of the rulles.

Alittle side note for the SWGTales crew. Look at possible using forum bans as a way to enforce rp guidelines. There will some grief comming your way for doing so but I bet there will be less complaining on these boards that so and so didn't /aceptduel or that so and so didn't acknowlegde imps power.

I think that idea has potential, but not everyone sees things the same way as me.

while I think a permaban over a little joke post was harsh, it was Alonzo. I mean, he expected to be permabanned for his comments on Duox so many months ago, and again for his flare up with Seret and all the admins a couple weeks ago. He knew it would come eventually.

Honestly, I don't think he'll make a new account to try and come back. He was almost trying to get himself banned at the last flare up to not be tempted to come back. Its not very likely we'll be sticking around SWG for very long anyway, unfortunately.

Problem with that is it invalidates the claim that the Tales Team are not a in game police force. Not that the idea doesn't have merit, but do any of the moderators want to take that responsibility and deal with any of the fallout?

I don't think the idea of banning people from SWGTales for not following some RP guidelines/rules in SWG proper is going to solve much of anything, unfortunately.

The only thing we can do is police behavior on our own boards. What's done in game is under the governance of SOE and/or Lucas Arts.
