Looks like the devs have been using wabbange tribesmen to cast spells on rat skulls and chicken bones just to delve into Dooo's mind and get this idea. (too much?)

I ran a race on Tarquinas using a house-admin, 'go to the race waypoint, go in the house and grab a race item from inside' method which was fairly successful for ten racers, and was a lot of fun there. I've been in the early planning stages of starting that again for here on Gorath and Lok, but after picking out waypoints for the race they do this. Hehe.
I'm really psyched about this, but because I also love the idea of 'home races' on Lok, I'm not ready to throw out my old race method.

I'm still willing to help put a race circuit together, especially if we're able to get some dev help adding those checkpoint droids. The system we came up with for betting is a good one if we have the numbers interested in racing AS WELL AS spectating. With no spectators there's no need for a Bookiee, but we could still act as the race judge and organizer, and holding the cash prize from the entry fee. There's just no profit in it I would think (just fun!).
For anybody who didn't know about IPARR (
http://www.themadmonkeys.com/iparr/) I was trying to organize people who had their own tracks, including the one at Noc. Just not enough interest at the time. Here were the main gripes about speeders that made racing them kinda "eh": all swoops are the same speed, and no collision (jockeying for position). We still have those issues to overcome.
