I won't get to see it till it's live...

But Guruweaver, the Artisan Correspondent, posted this about it thus far as it is in the NGE.

His link to the SKillsets is gone though.

I made a trader on TC6. Looking at the skilltrees, it appears to make the traders work together more to create an exceptional product, while, at the same time, being more versatile and given more flexibility with their work.

My trader could make some armor, ship chassis and buildings. I didnt' look too closely, cause I was spending my efforts on trying to see the point of making a trader go through the learning phase.

There are two quests you're given, initially, where you ...craft some crap. THEN...you do the same combat stuff, but you don't level your CL and, well, you can't handle anything solo. You either rely on others, or move on to Eisley. That's where I threw in the towel.

In TC now, it appears that you choose from these skillset combinations:

Tailor / Chef
Architect / Shipwright
Weaponsmith / Armorsmith
Droid Engineer / Weaponsmith

And all of them get merchant stuff embedded within the skills.

Ok, here's a bit of annoyance with Trader...the max vendors you get with any of the professions is 7, this means that if you're a master merchant now and are using all your vendors, you're going to have 5 vendors more than trader allows. Plus, I use my vendors for NPCs during events, so this will greatly hinder what I can do until they make it so that you can have two characters per server.

I made a trader as well and just for some info spiced tea now gives a + to precision I think and Bofa Treats + STR...weird lol. I guess part of the fun will be looking through all my foods and seeing what I should keep.

Btw for overall pwnage the medic looks like the best imo. Granted I havent been able to play it at higher levels, but based on skills alone it looks nice.

If they shrunk the number of vendors you can have... what about item count? The same or did they let you sell the same number of items while just reducing the number of vendors?

From what I can tell the max number of items you can have on vendors is 2550, but I'm not sure that's any different that what we have now.
