Need RP!

I'm in desperate search of a player city/Guild that has lots of RP involved. I'm currently an officer of the imperial army but could easily role play out to join a rebel faction if that's what it takes to find the RP I need to enjoy this game. Location doesn't really matter but I would also prefer a guild that participates in PvP or the GCW. I currently reside on Dantooine but would be willing to relocate anywhere however would prefer Dant. or Tat. Unfortunately my time in game is also very limited maybe 10 hours a week however having just found these boards I usually do a lot of posting on the SOE boards and will probably do the same here. Anyway contact me in game or reply to this post. Can't remember if I set up my sig so my character's info is below

OK everyone, RP your player city and let the new guy decide where to go:

Nocturnus is a true hive of scum and villany. We RP the city as being the home of a group of pirates known as The Midnight Coalition <MidCo>. The city was once an abandoned mining colony that was won in a Sabaacc game by the founding members of the pirate group. On the surface, it appears to be a normal backwater city on Lok, but when you delve deeper into it's citizens, you'll find that everything is not as it appears. Recently a group of citizens in Noct decided to join the Empire and formed their own guild, Silent Midnight <-SM->. The two guilds are currently sharing an uneasy peace between them.

One strange phenomenon on Gorath is that most of the roleplayers are scattered amongst non-rp cities and guilds.

One of my dreams is to pull them together city wise to provide a more immersive experience, but this dream is still in it's infancy.

I'd say there is a stong need for both Imperial and Rebel military RP.

If you are looking for an imperial RP, yet still want to participate in the GCW, I would contact Daitan.

Other options (not really GCW intensive):
- Nocturnus, Lok: Pirate city. Both imps and rebs
- Dohrain, Talus: Home of Talusian Trade federation. Rebel and neutral

Thanks for the info, still would like to hear from anyone else out there. I'm thinking now I may like to switch factions and join the rebellion as I've a great RP story to support a switch. And who could I contact about this city on Lok to get some more info? I will also contact Daitan next time I'm able to get in game as there are hardly any imps as it is, losing another only increases the gap....

I gotta tell you my opinion is biased.

But to be honest I hadn't played a single PC game in almost 10 years until a friend of mine in real life convinced me to game with the guys in Nocturnus or in other words try out Galaxies with him.

This is a game I could have gotten burnt out on a long time ago, but after being in game for so long I have realized that its not so much the game but the people you game with. So I admire your careful consideration in chosing a town or a PA to join.

Nocturnus is a unique city in that it doesn't have a shuttle but seems to get more visitors than most cities that do have a shuttle. We're small now, I don't know how big we will get or how big we even want to get, but I can tell you I greatly enjoy our patch of sand on Lok.

Nocturnus is a great model of an RP city (I am feeling the urge to post my vision of a roleplayers utopia, but that is for another thread). Good people, active and talented GM's.. in short, they get it.

They are small but growing. I have pointed a few people there and several more are finding their way there on their own. You can't go wrong with this choice unless your play times do not match. The more people they get, the less this will be an issue.

The thing I'm most concerned about is I have very little time in game. Maybe 10 hours a week and I'd say 75% of that is on Saturday and Sunday and during the very early morning. I'm usually on around 7am-10am CST. The entire server is very quiet at that time, but even if I only get a portion of that time in real RP it would be worth it. Thanks again to everyone posting this information is great.

I would actually bite into the player city concept if my stronghold for the mercenaries was a somewhat seperate entity in that city...and it was on Tatooine :P

Mostly because Chal wants to run a casino ingame, and if I can support her ability to do so...then I will. Also I'd like to be able to travel less then 900m to get to the shuttleport. I had been wanting to get just enough people involved in a small piece of land to make the stronghold a POI on the map so that if events ever included us...people would know where to go.

Great movie, great director... but back on track

Thats why Keer and Seret get along, we're on the same sideline.

Though, I prefere to think of Seret's point-of-view as "Imperials on one side. Rebels on the other. Me on the sidelines looking and both and realizing how pointless they are."
