Good side everyone is equal though however I do think jedi should get some sort of ability that they can do range damage that is okay. I was blowing holes in jedi all day.

Bade side, Jaminos dose not get to wear his ubese anymore.

im testing jedi and i know what you mean jam, i wanted to see why they are so weak, a lvl 65 can beat a jedi just by hitting em at range, if george lucas seen this, he'd be pretty much breathing flames everywhere on sony.

Jedi have a move that stops all ranged damage for 12 seconds. Its still not easy but its do-able. It may need tweaking but I am not convinced that Jedi is nerfed at this point. People just need to get some balls and learn to PvP again.

the self buffs and blaster bolt block work but the interface to execute them is horrible.. most buffs last 20 seconds, when Im done selecting, right clicking 2 or 3, half the time is up on the first, THEN I need to run around like a tool for my kiting target, fumbling for another special to snare... no no I dont think Jedi is weak, I think it will take SKILL but **edit** the combat interface sucks.

What I found last night is that in order to be good in combat you have to slave all your main combat specials to the 1-5 slots, that way when you're fighting, you just have to move your fighters slightly up from the WASD keys in order to que up a special. I dueled Jabe about 5 times last night and only lost once because I was able to whip off specials quickly while still moving.

I really can't wait to get on to try this now because it sounds like they've got a mix of fps/Guild Wars/WoW interface.

The downside... I can already tell I'm not going to like over the shoulder 'locked' view and what it sounds like they've done to the chat system.

Combat sounds like it's just a matter of getting the hang of it. If that's the case... I really can't wait for Kika'Vati training tomorrow or Friday.

The "over the shoulder" view isn't as distracting as you might think. If you are used to playing 1st person, then there isn't a difference. When you use the mouse scroll to move out, all it seems like is your camera is slightly right of center (your character is justified a little bit further left than it used to be.

I actually like that design a lot. It's a nifty and unobtrusive change.

What I would like is to be able to logon to a game I have been playing for 2 years and be able to use at least one of the weapons I have. Can I? No.

I have money. I can fix this. I head to the vendors in a major city to buy stuff. WHOOPS THEY DON'T WORK EITHER! Its a friggin crap shoot as to what you are getting because item descritions will only download on one out of a hundred items.

So even if I wanted to play this game, I can't. They are a bunch of clueless assholes. Let me know when the game is playable again.

Well due to the changes, my DE is also a WS now so if you or anyone else out there need new weapons lemme know and I'll make them on demand until they get the vendor issues worked out.

The point is that they once again didn't test anything and threw it out there for the regular gamer to beta test. Not that I thought the previous versions of the game were bug free, but they didn't rely on me having friendly contacts all over the game so I could play. What do they have against making things convenient for players?

answer to last question: everything. for whatever reason SOE and LA have their heads up their asses when it comes to making a game that people just like to play. They can't earn our respect in an honest manner, by actually testing a game system. Maybe if they had tested the original before beta, none of this CU garbage would have ever happened. It's like none of them had a freaking clue that the 30 million combinations of professions weren't going to work out. Yet, for whatever reason here WE are.

Nah, I don't buy that they all hate consumers. The Battlefront games are pretty cool and fun. Lucasarts put out plenty of good titles. This one is just poorly run.

And therein lies the problem. This game was not originally developed by LA or I think this is the game we would have been playing from day 1.

Well here is my good and bad.

Good:

They kept Emotes

They kept Walking

WASD movement is pretty easy to get the hang of

They kept the "look"

They left a tool bar as well (anyone find a way to cycle between toolbar number's yet? the old ctrl + FX didn't work for me)

Combat is very fast and many of the animations/icon's remained the same

On the way to a shuttle a storm trooper pulled me off of my speeder to do an inspection. When this happened I was like holy crap that kicks @$$

Bad:

Jump (I hate this)

Special's (I find it difficult to have to move using both the keyboard and
mouse, this makes toggling special's difficult. Basically I have to stop moving to change my special which lets my target get away.)

Movement I wish there was an easier way to move the direction you wanted. You need the keyboard to "Move" and the mouse to point yourself in the right direction. Do Joysticks work? This may help cut down on some of the movement issues.

Keymapping it will take some getting used to using a "/" to activate my chat table before typing. I keep typing and bring up 5 screen's and jumping away from the person I'm talking to. I think I just need to tweak my mapping and get some more playing time in.

I had a few other's I can't think of now, all and all I think I can adjust and live with it. Will definately take me some time but in the end I don't see anything that's going to make me quit.

I successfully rebound toolbarpanes to the old Ctrl + F1(F6) and toolbarslots to F1-F12.
To make things easier during combat, I also bound my first (and some more) specials to keys near the WASD (the way I had them in all FPSs - like highest dmg special is on my Q key, while healing special is on E key, deathblow macro of R key, stun attack on F and poison on X).
I also had to keep the new mode of the spatial chat window so it doesn't interfere with WASD movement.
