Yeah...it's cool when you've exhausted all of the quests and aren't left with any to do. Which has already happened to alot of people from what I've heard.

on top of it, if you make a group and everyone do their quests, you get the full XP share even if you arent close to the others, at least that seems to be how we have CL 90 people after 1... repeat... 1 day of NGE on Mustafar

I won't be able to say too much more about it till I get on tonight...

But it sounds like their encouraging Groups and encouraging doing Quests instead of grinding Terminal missions even though their still there for what sounds like Mid to Lower level people.

At least to me... If I use 'the other game' as an example... grinding is practically never practical as long as you've got quests to do. I really hope that's what their pushing with the xp. This means taking out squads of Stormies now will be 'for the fun of it' instead of 'Damn, I only need 20k till my next box, Ooooo, look... stormies!'

Well, that means they'll have to add in a lot more quests to get everyone where they have to be, eh...? If the focus of the game is shifting they'll need a lot more quests.

I will have to try to take some of the old ones. I recall seeing that SOE is letting everyone redo all of them

Have a link for us, Isy? That'd shed a lot of light on if this is, indeed, what their aiming for.

Well, 4 of us on Mustafar last night got owned. I'm really not sure how you can complete those quests out there. Creatures that didn't aggro before are suddenly all over you. It's rough.

I went out and did a few solo missions from Dantooine and they were fairly easy as long as they were non-aggro mobs. Lack of spin attack certainly changed the group grind. XP didn't seem too bad overall. Action costs/regen are another story.

My first experiment with my Jedi in the new system, I took a mission from a player city terminal on Lok and it was only providing CL46 missions (Yep looks like Tat isn't the only place with borked mission terminals). I took a snorbal mission. I get out there and the fast combat is definitely a plus in terms of dps. The drawbacks so far are that the Jedi heal is minimal as are stimpacks. At a quarter health both got me to half or a little over. Second was action cost/regen surprise. I wanted to test the Niman Stance special which is a defensive special to decrease incoming damage. It took nearly all my action and my action did not regen fast enough to get any other specials off during the battle.

Second experiment was on Dantooine, CL80 piket mission. Tried different approach and used damage enhancing special, action cost minimal, used saber throw to pull, force storm, force choke, and finished off piket #1. Once combat was over both health and action regen at a decent rate (didn't need to sit or anything). Fought a yellow con Mok that aggro'd me (yay for no more vis) and kicked his butt too.

In conclusion, it will take experimenting with each special a bit to see what they do and at what cost. Since none of the other specials I used took a whole lot of action, I have to assume Niman Stance is more of a last ditch save-your-ass special.

Other notes:

Force run is a short duration movement increase (no flashy effects like before - more like burst run, but shorter duration. I would estimate it only lasts for about 5-10 seconds.

Food/Drinks - The stats are completely different. A lot of the less well-known foods drinks will give double-digit, double stat bonuses - you'll have to do some looking around through the menu to see which ones you want. Ruby Bliel no longer does anything for stim usage and frankly is quite crappy. Actually a great number of food/drink is quite crappy, but there's a few good ones out there. You can also only have one food/drink active at a time. :(

That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

But did you try any of the actual quests? That seems to be how the xp flows now.

Here is a Grinding tip for those with ToOW:

Go to Mustafar, in the large room with the merchant npc there is a document on a box. there you get the mission to kill 15 lava fleas, giving you 50k xp. and it can be done over and over again as many times as you want, that way grinding your cl 80 to a cl 90 fast as heck.

Got this from the official forums.
