Brekkee: *Zaran1* When will something be done about the low population servers? You shouldn't have to pay in order to be on a galaxy with no people.
Lord_Pall: The first step was the launch of the NGE.
Lord_Pall: We don't want to merge gameservers until we see how these changes affect our server populations. So far the response has been tremendous.

Tremendous...as the population of servers keep getting lower since the NGE has been released?

Correct, if enough people leave the lower populated servers there will be no one left to complain about them...problem solved

OK - we need facts really. The population response to NGE is either "tremendous" (marketing), abysmal (by gripes and people saying they're leaving) or somewhere inbetween. Any way to see the truth?

Do this...
Go through the motions of rolling a new toon and look at the servers. When is the last time you saw Heavy and Very Heavy? Its been a long time and I been checking every night and there's always a couple servers on high load.
People are playing.

Lots of people have come back to try this out, just like for the CU. A lot of people have been talking about this outside of the game who never played. This has gotten a lot of attention.
I think the best thing we can do, guys, is submit those /bug reports and constructive feedback on the SOE forums. They WILL listen (yes, they do) if enough people have the same concerns.

/agree
And after my second night IG I've already noticed improvements and was able to make it much more enjoyable after fixing my bindings etc.
The only thing that's really killing me is the internal lag for each command. But they're already aware of that.
