I started this extremely difficult quest yesterday. Its difficult in that you have to find 4 different hermits located seemingly anywhere on Tatooine and they don't show up on your radar, you gotta visually spot them or use the overhead map to get any visibility at a distance...

I finally found the first hermit, who ended up being a farmer. I found him only because someone else found him and posted his location on the planetary chat. I got the mission and it involved going to a cave where you had to loot some explosives to open up a blocked wall and save his family.

Problem is, that when you enter the cave, the explosives for your instance of the mission spawn at the appropriate cave location automatically. Yesterday the place was camped and other idiots kept taking MY explosives even guys that came after me. I had to log in early this morning to pick up the explosive packages. I couldn't finish though because I wasn't buffed and the cave is relatively difficult. I am hoping to go back in there today and finish, hopefully it doesn't make me re-loot the explosives.

If anyone else has tips for the other three quests that lead up to the Hero badge, please share.

This is something I want to do because 1) I love all things Tatooine, and 2) the fully constructed orb looks really cool and I love rare items.

The fact that it is camped is very discouraging. I am not the type of player who can "camp" for any length of time and be happy about it. My hame time is too precious and I have to get the most bang for the buck.

I did check with them, but they're all fubar.. Its completely random. Some of the wp's give you a general idea where to look though.

Seems that the random locations and spaws is SOE last resort against grinds and such stuff, that anyway boost up camping as you told before

Ya can always take a Ranger with ya. We can spot any NPC's from quite a ways away. A Ranger can also apply some camo on ya, so those pesky NPC's don't bother ya.

Nice to hear that the cave loot isn't instanced. Wonderful.

I managed to get 3 of the 4 badges in one night... took a long time though... It seems the pirates are very hard to find.. although it took me 2 months of aimless wandering to find the farmer.. I would go out for about an hour or so.. area track.. find nothing... get discouraged and do something fun again. The whole randomness of the spawns really takes the enjoyment out of doing the quest.

I can help you with the Badge of Intellect, though I have not gotten it myself.

For that badge you have to find a bounty hunter who spawns randomly in one of the non-player cities of Tatooine. Problem is when someone finds the BH and completes the quest the BH poofs and spawns somewhere else. I will e-mail you in-game the waypoints to each of the spawn points the BH is supposed to spawn. Rememeber this includes Mos Taike and Wayfar.

The quest is the simpliest one. The BH spawns with a series of smugglers (3-4?) and asks you to find out which one is her mark. You have to talk to each and figure out which one is lying. Bascially its a classic riddle that I once had to figure out for a math class (problem solving exercise) in college.

Hey, i thought if you put all the things together, it forms a ring that gives you 50 rezzes. Mabey im just an moron, but some guy did them all and said thats what you get.

I heard the same thing but I can't confirm it.

Yea, it's a ring with 50 rezes. I've read it on several sites, and seen screen shots. I don't care about the ring personally. I just want the hero of tattooine badge. Screw the others. Too bad i can't get an IMPERIAL hero of tattooine. Oh well. at least i still got my warren badge.

I can't find of these freakin hermits... All the WP's on different sites are garbage. The only luck I have is when someon posts one on planetary chat which has gotten me 1/4 hermits found. Sheesh.
