Wrote the code yesterday so we can give clothing armor like properties. Then added values to the Jedi robes. Should see Robes(all existing ones will auto update) getting armor values in next major publish. It is flexible enough however to put on any clothing in the future we like.

Ya there was talk about "relaxing" the armor certificates as well, so there would be more armor choices for everyone.

I do somewhat like having profession specific armor. If they lax this too much... we're going to be back to everyone being a 'composite' clone again.

I hope thats why their doing this with clothes and robes; to avoid that.

Also... with no Force Bar anymore... they still need to revamp some of the existing robes.

I don't think that will be the case though.

I think the crafters have figured out how to make decent stat armor across the three types, so it really would be up to what people wanted to look like.

Hopefully. It'd be nice for Jedi to have some sort of protection. I was in a fight that involved me and another Jedi against Fedaykin, who is a smuggler. Fedaykin admits that he isn't a PvPer, and was comfortable with not being able to kill anyone pre-NGE.

Me and the other Jedi went up against him at the same time, and both LOST! Even through our "scientific" trials, we found that a Jedi cannot overpower a smuggler without using Saber Block.

The only problem with saber block is that it doesn't like to work sometimes.

I agree, since it's the cores and not the look of the armor that determins how good it is.. That's why I have a suit of chitan that is better then the RIS and BH armor I see on the market now.
