Xbox 360

We have the new Xbox demo up and running...if you have a super HD or an LCD tv, the graphics are innnncredible! Almost 3-D. Was watching the T.Rex demo, rather graphic for a FPS, lol. As you are getting chomped in half, you can still see what's going on around you thru the blood in your eyeballs.

PS3 is going to have to go some to compete.

Gaah, The only places I have been that have the kiosks are walmart, and unlucky for me none of them have them turned on due to the wireless controllers interfering with their wireless inventory system...

So you work at Circuit City too, huh Xyryn?

Glad I'm not the only person to work for them...I'm at the store in High Point, NC. :P

Ah hell, Target has had some world war 2 fps demo-ing for a couple days now. I have been in and out of there a few times in the last few days trying to get a friggin' wedding registry all set up. It does look pretty impressive.

Yep, up in New England. This will be my last (I hope) xmas season with them...or any retailer.

Would it make you all horribly jealous if I told you I have been working on the Xbox 360 dev kits for the past 6 months now?

Neener neener neener!

As someone said somewhere else:

PS3 is pure vaporware as of right now. I'm not even sure if the Alpha dev kits are in anyone's hands.

I've just made a deal to keep the XBox here forever.

Not 2 hours ago got off the phone with my pal the Walmart manager who's just been relocated to this region...In other words:

I GOT THE HOOK UP!

Going to check out this game when I get it.

If I got an xbox 360 on Tuesday I would just sell it on eBay for 3x or 4x what I paid. Then wait and buy one when the madness subsided.

Judging from the desperation in some of the parents voices, you could probably do it as an auction and get more than that for it. No quick sell price.

Sho 'nuff in the works...extra units on the side.

According to some inside info, (my buddy calls it the "XBox 360 Crop Forecast") for this region at least, she's saying that the box is going to be gone quick. Not to return until after the holidays.

Standing by for the word to sell from "Miss Beeks"...

Yep, scuttlebutt (nothing confirmed) has it that there were originally 600,000 scheduled for the US. However, 200,00 were subtracted and shipped to the UK.

Even if that isn't true, the last 2 xmas seasons have had their "we can't get them--and no other retailer can either". Year before last, it was the iPod. Last year, it was "Finding Nemo" and the iPod Mini. This year, it is the 360 and the iPod Nano. Most of these are bought for children and young teenagers.

It is really being driven home to me that it is the 10-15 year olds who drive our economy. It is no wonder that SOE redesigned our game to appeal to them. (the last 9 minus 1 of SWG games that I have sold were to parents getting them for 10 and 11 year olds who, the parents assured me, were mature for their age...while the kids were whining like 4 year olds.)

Well..the Ebay prices are through the roof. I'm not in any rush to buy this system. Hell, I don't know if I'm even going to buying another video game system. At 50 bucks a game, it hardly seems worth it.
