Why have an immersion war?

Cause it just makes things that much more intresting.

Hi, Fedaykin Al-Fali here to talk to you about the many pros of having an immersion war with your fellow RP guilds. Did you know that immersion wars not only expand the content of the game immensely, but it also adds a huge amount of realism to the game itself? Well it does, and by just sending a tell to your nearest guild officer, you could have this working for you in no time. An immersion war is the best solution to avoiding long, drawnout process of challenging all of your enemies to a duel, and making sure all your team mates are dueled with them as well. Not only that but due to its added realism, you wont have any more of those agonizing RPers who "dont fight" or talk back to someone when the offended has a gun out and in their face (unless RP permits of course). So just think about it, YOU, could start your very own immersion war today, just go to the guild terminal or type /tell "your guild leader" that you want your very own immersion war TODAY!!!

((ok guys, I do know that a lot of people (that were in the war back when it was active) agree with me when I say that the immersion war was a really good idea. The most effective thing it did was stop a lot of us from allways mouthing-back to other people IC because we knew that they would be able to attack us if we did so. Now, while some of us actually wanted that kind of stuff to happen, it never seemed to bother anyone, mainly because it was roleplay in its purest form. I know some of you dont think as highly as me about this whole idea, mainly because you say that you are mature RPers and dont think that we need this sort of thing, and that just /dueling peoiple works fine enough. However, this way not only saves a TON of time trying to worry about that, it also makes it to where your friends can come to your aid if you need it. Its like this:

Situation without Immersion war:

Eddi, Karl and Ted are making fun of Bob, earl, and Chuck.

Bob, Earl, and Chuck all start to challenge Eddi, Karl, and Ted to duels.

Eddi, Karl, and Ted all accept Bob, Earl and Chuck's duel.

((Is everyone ready and red to each other?))
((yea))
((Ready))
((ready to go))
((yea))
((rdy))
...
...
((you rdy bob?))
...
((yea, ready))
((GO!))

<battle is fought>

Bob, Earl, and Chuck seem to win. However, David, and Mike saw their frineds Eddi, Karl, and Ted get shot up, and during the fight ran over and challenged Bob, Earl, and Chuck to a duel as well.
Earl accepts, however Chuck and Bob, dont see the challenges, it is lost in chat of people screaming and what-not. Chuck and Bob see David and Mike ganging up on Earl. Earl goes down in a few seconds because he is no match for David and Mike. Bob and Chuck become upset and start getting mad OOC and the situation is now completely destroyed and no one is happy. After figuring out that it is all a mistake, they try to finish the night by doing it all over again..

Now, while the story may have a happy ending, it wastes time.

Situation with Immersion war:

Eddi, Karl, and Ted are making fun of Bob, Earl, and Chuck.

Bob, Earl, and Chuck open fire on Eddi, Karl, and Ted.

Bob, Earl, and Chuck win the fight, but not before Eddie's frineds David and Mike come to try to save them.

David and Mike both die, but not before taking Bob and Earl down with them.

Fight over, Chuck is the winner. Conflict is complete in just a few seconds, just like fighting should be. Saves a bunch of time, as well as a bunch of frustration.

Now, when there is this many people involved in this type of thing, accidents will happen. Peopl will accidentally attack when trying to trade as well as other tiny things. But its not worth getting into this "war." The only other thing that seems to bother people about this is AFK, and Load killers. IF this kind of stuff happens, i would hope the killed tells their guild leader, so we can take care of this sort of thing. Already today, one of my guys was load-killed by a member of a guild that we are already in the immersion war with, i was told the name, i contacted the other guild leader, and the offender is no longer in that guild. It can be as simple as that, and i know that if all the guild leaders sit down, and go over the rules with each other, then tell all their members, we can make this work.))

((yeah that was one of the Immortals who joined up with us to help deal with xdxfx when they started seriously ganking my guild at theed cloner, we couldn't get out before we were flagged to them, I got out once, got one hit in and then dead, and about two minutes later 14 of the Immortals show up and start healing me and a guildmate who were getting ganked. Absolutely halarious sight seeing a lvl 71 and lvl 77 tanking 5 jedi all at same time while fourteen other jedi healing me and the guildmate. But before I completely detail the subject here, He was not of our guild, and not of the guild originaly, I think. But the way Azinax had this guild et up was some RP and PvP, I try to keep people on chain since I am pretty much the only one with the authority that ever comes on. After Fedaykin had talked to him, said member left guild as to avoid trouble I beleive.))

Ive done this before on another server and in other games and if you have a really great RP community like this one seems to be - having the "war" mechanics on all the time is amazing fun! We had incidents where pirates attacked the local dancers at the bank trying to deposit their nightly tips (the entertainers loved getting involved even with no fighting skills) and that got the local police involved... fun fun, also had episodes where the mechanics were used for a single knock down punch as part of a fight. Doesnt have to be all out war... but means you dont have to:

puase Rp
send duel request
wait for acceptance
send pm if it doesnt happen trying to explain why you sent duel request..
accept duel
duel
turn off duel funtionality..

etc

Anyway just my $0.02 but I loved it and am excited to see/hear you have it in this community. Just hoping I find a way to break my character in here so I can take part... :)

(p.s. sorry if this was the wrong place for this response? Just got excited reading about it)
