Not what a lot of people want to hear, but at least this seem to be the most amout of honesty they've dished out so far. Funny thing is, I've never seen this guy post before.

If the game worked and was not so easily exploited I wouldn't have uninstalled. They've set themselvs up for a whole new age of griefing by making the controls spam-based.

Call me an optimist at this point... call me silly, stupid, or a driphead...

But I think it sounds hopeful for the game overall. Granted, dispite not wanting to; they still have lost a lot of players over the changes. But we're left with what the game is now, or what it could become, and not what it was. Good or bad.

If I feel in the mood later, I will go digging for similar posts they have revolving around fixing the original game, fixing the CU and now this. I'm not jaded, I am going by a LONG history of experience. Not just a few examples, but dozens of them which lead us to this point.

It's just damage control. Well worded and persuasive damage control.

Without a rollback the game will die.

Jabe, I once wondered why you were so supportive, basically thinking you were trying to make the best since you are in until next year. Now I find myself still struggling to like this game, and failing. I actually hate it.

I wish I could just move on, but I have nowhere else to go.

I keep thinking about signing up to post on the SOE boards...

I have seen the lament of others, who pour out their hearts on a keyboard, and yet are ignored. I will not bring myself that kind of dissapointment.

Well these plans they have have yet to be told. So when everyone is use to the NGE after it is semi fixed to like how the CU was shortly before the NGE and come out with some hair brained thing.

I just wish they would tell us their "plans" before they go ahead and put them out. Let us vote on them or somthing. I just like knowing that my game is being messed up before they do it in about two months.

I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong to do so. They have once again rushed an incomplete system. They certainly didn't test it very well or consider the problems they were opening themselves up for. Unfortunately this system is wide open for griefing and unfair combat far worse than any of the other combat systems to date since launch!!

I got pwned by guys spamming specials faster than humanly possible. When I dug deeper and found out on my own how they were doing it, that was the last straw. This system will never be fair and balanced because people have already circumvented the challenge of it. They can't fix the problem without adopting aspects of the old system and they are clearly unwilling to do that.

PvP is dead. Turbo l00terz will pwn all. Hacks and griefing were once limited to FPS games but are only a heartbeat away from taking center stage in SWG. Welcome to the greatest combat inbalance yet. You won't be able to win unless you're cheating.

I was waiting on a CSR to fix me because I couldn't walk, and I was chatting, one showed up. He told me not to hit the control key, after asking me two questions, then dissapeared. Shortly afterward, I lost connection.

Read yer response and its a great post, I hope that the other posters responding to Smedley, use the opportunity like you did to bring up really good points as opposed to sounding like a typical forum troll. Great work Jabe!!

I never really pvp'ed so I don't have that perspective but I actually liked the
post CU SWG about the same as I did the pre CU, different for me but in the end something I adapted to and enjoyed.

I was fine in CU SWG... but they went about it all wrong. Pre CU I could be a competitor almost regardless of my crafting/entertaining. just needed a good doc buff.

To be honest... I think they are listening too. But I doubt there will ever be an immediate 'patch' responce to the demands we're making. At least their saying 'something' as opposed to 'nothing'; and, of course, the Vets don't like what their saying because it cements the fact that Pre-NGE is 'not' comming back.

At this point... I really think there are two things that can be done.

1) Move on/Quit
2) Keep playing/ try to post to help them make the game better

Are they going to listen to all of us? No.

But I still think their taking steps in the right direction and are well aware of where they need to fix things. Just seems they never want to put out a the 'polished' product.

I'm keeping my attitude about this possitive. The game does have a chance still.

Who's listening? I think it's more likely that extraterestrials are listening than SOE is ..
