NGE Deconstruction: What went wrong/is wrong and why?

I'm surprised no one just 'did' this by now. I've even been stating this over and over again... Personal Relations with the community by the Dev team pretty much sucks! That is one of the #1 problems if you ask me.

The NGE... well, here ya go, pick it apart no holds bar. And, lord forbid, should some constructive criticism come out of what may have been done right pop up in here; so much the better.

For our Vets that feel cheated and need someplace to express it... just leave this unlocked till such a time as they've gotten it off their chests/hearts.

They changed the entire combat system, and there is just nothing for me to do now. I can't grind, and I am not buying mustafar, especially when I am not even done with Kashyyk.

Everyone that can still stand to be in this game must be huffing happy gas. The new combat system is unplayable unless you only do certain mobs, becuase the others just run around me shooting like crazy, I accidently hit all their friends, then I am taking on a huge mob.

I can't fight things my level. The lag makes combat rediculous.

Because of the fact that I absolutely hate grinding, I was only CL 79 when the NGE came out. In my inventory I had a nice DC-15 and the Falaan Hyper Rifle. Both of these converted to CL 80 weapons.

As a bounty hunter, I could no longer wear the 1.2 mil set of armor that I bought from Aerulai not long ago (granted, I only paid for half at this point, but oh well). Also, I would no longer be able to hunt Jedi (which is something I never got to do in the first place).

As a Jedi, I thought it was cheap that I earned a once prestigious title in a matter of minutes. Having a lightsaber was cool for the first few days, but then I realized that the devs, in "balancing" the classes, made the one alpha class into a beta class. Jedi suck! I couldn't even kill two lava fleas at the same time. And a player smuggler easily beat me and Kirt.

Despite the NGE, the game content remains much the same for veteran players. We get no new quests, save the Mustafar ones which I couldn't do anyway. Booooooooooring as hell for me.

If I were an Elder Jedi, I'd be kind of irked with the blue glowy thing. I don't know if SOE or LA remembers how Jedi got to be blue and glowy in the actual stories. THEY DIED! Knowing that SOE figuratively killed all of the old Jedi just adds salt to the wound of the veteran players that they already squirting lemon juice in.
