Jedi Robes NGE Upgrade.

First heads up on Robe Protection:

The robes have an added listing called Force Protection Intensity.

Thus far it looks like this:

Paddy Robes: FPI: Faint

Cloak of the Kursk: FPI: Lucent

Eldar Robes: FPI: Radiant

I'll test this out as soon as possible. But it does look like it is, indeed, CL based. I imagine other robes are out there somewhere based on this 'Faint-Radiant' scale.

(No info yet on where to obtain any of the 'new' robes.)

Ok, so far I took Vreese (CL 80) with the above listed robes and tried the three robes/and with none and let a CL 50 creature wail on me.

There was no noticeable difference to me on my damage going down with the different robes equipped. It all looked the same.

However, once I entered combat... it seemed that my dmg was going down less with the Eldar and more with the Paddy equipped. Suggesting a Dmg Intake/Output scale needed to really test these.

There are absolutely NO stats listed. I'm still experimenting and am going to do a Vette run shortly for some more testing.

By NO stats I mean no Armor stats. Kinetic, Energy, etc...

There are still the Con/Str/Agility, etc, etc... stats.

against a CL 50 (with you being CL 80) the CL gap may have diminished the amount of damage you're taking so that the armor isn't noticeable. You may want to try against a CL 78-80 MOB and see if there's any difference there. The Vette should turn something up.

Now on the Vette against CL 80-83 Elites.

Here's the info as best I can put it.

Wearing Eldar Robes against a CL 80 Elite... I didn't even have to use Saber Block to win. The 'Radiant' effect is working very well.

Kursk was noticeably worse.

Paddy well... these are suppose to kinda suck. At our CL anyway.

Trying to tank a mob of 2 might be possible... any more than that... your probably asking for trouble. These are with Elites on the Vette though.

Much, much, much more testing to come. I'm giving it very favorable results so far though. Highly noticeable difference for one/two shot kills on us pre-patch.

Just got to hear Jabe on Noc Chat. Managed to get a Krayt down to 1/8th solo now and took more than one hit to kill him.

Ranged... it would seem can still kite them/solo them... Jedi... we can't hold our breath on this one unless we use some ranged weapons still it would seem.

He's using the Eldar Robes as well. So 'Radiant' is the way to go.

Still no info on obtaining 'other' robes mentioned with the publish.

This is Loads better than yesterday though.

Alrighty, my best fight so far was two Elites... CL 80/82.

I had to use my heal and saber block but was able to kill both without the 'clone' run.

The elder robes have 6500 kinetic and energy protection, basically. I didn't look at the stats on the weaker robes.

I couldn't keep the Krayt snared enough to solo it. Maybe two Jedi but not one - unless I am a kiting n00b and am missing something. Other professions were going crazy soloing krayts this morning. I think their snares are more powerful, dunno.

Knight Robes are said to drop off of something with the abbreviation BS on Yavin.

Yeah... uh... I had to put that on up just for the humor.


Although this originates from a Corbantis Server drop. Probably is some truth to it.

You can now take on up to three confirmed CL 80 Elites (as a CL 80 anyway) and live to talk about it.

This feels much more like it. I'll just give my thumbs up, this works, at this point.

Robe Drops:

A CL 40 Elite Storm Trooper has dropped an Acolyte Robe.

The Knight Robes are on Black Sun it would appear. Already have people asking me to go to DWB with them. *shrug*
