One of the reasons why your specials may be failing.

It was something I saw fly over the head of a krayt when I used a special and it failed.

Interesting, I miss the combat screen, would be alot easier to see these things. Wonder if there is anything anywhere explaining different combat messages like that?

I believe(and correct me if I'm wrong) that "save" comes from the traditional D20 system. I think what is happening is that when you activate a special move the computer is essentially "rolling the dice" to see if your move will be blocked by the object;be that a creature or a NPC.

Basically a "save" means that you lost the roll. I've also heard this term used in World of Warcraft as well.
