Which Stallone movie is going to suck more?

For those that didn't know, Sly Stallone is WRITING and STARRING in both Rocky 6 and Rambo 4.

Which one do you think is going to suck more ass, and why?

Rocky. He'd be out of breath fighting...just the sheer amount of cardiovascular endurance for a man his age would have to be next to nothing. With Rambo there's really nothing required than picking up a automatic weapons and firing away.

IMDB only has him as actor and producer so far. Where did you hear that he's writing and directing them?

I heard on the radio that he was writing both, and I read it somewhere. but I didn't hear about producing, though he might as well

Rambo was cool as a kid... and all he really did was blow stuff up while trying to solve the problem which boiled down to killing the bad guy. I think he can still do this well without messing it up too bad; Unless he tries to change Rambo into some suddenly well versed rhetorical speaker in this one... then it'll suck big time.

Rocky will totally suck because of his age... Unless he's playing the guy coaching a replacement... it'll be garbage.

He's pretty much at his pass the torch Arnold was a few years back imo.

I'm not sure which will suck more. Civilization's only hope is that he drops them both on the same day and time so that their combined suckitude will negate each other. One at a time would rip the atmosphere from the planet.

He made a pretty good performance in CopLand. He should stick to more parts like that.

I hate to say it, but from what I hear, Rocky Balboa (they dropped the numbers for this one) shouldn't be too bad. He is in fact playing to his age. He is retired at this point, and does a few charity bouts here and there.

The current heavyweight champion is getting old as well and is trying to catch one last fight that he can really cash in on. After hearing that Rocky still drew at some charity event, he calls out Balboa for one more fight.

Rocky tries to turn the fight down, but his competitive spirit gets the better of him.

Well, my thoughts are that both Rambo II and Rambo III sucked based on a few pet peeves of mine on how certain weapon systems were employed in the movies. First blood was the only "good" Rambo movie. It actually had a message of sorts and for better or worse conveyed it while still allowing enough explosions and comic relief to satisfy all.

Sidebar - Did anyone notice that in First blood the national guard guys made sure they got out of the way of the backblast of the LAW rocket while in Rambo II the Special Forces guy, Rambo, shows no concern for the half dead POW's in the back of his Huey as he fires The LAW rocket out the front? Those guys in the back would have gotten a bit toasty.

On to Rocky...

I pretty much try to avoid all Rocky movies except the first 2. Although I have seen them all many times I can't stand boxing so the entire story is lost on me. I can however appreciate the underdog story of the first two movies. After that Rocky movies suck total ass IMHO.

Yeah, I just watched a WW2 movie last night where an old guy standing behind a Panzerfaust got charbroiled. Gotta get that movie back to it's owner....long overdue.
