I think the guy is working his tail off to make something of the game myself; and is very aware of the community... even if certain LA/SOE members are not.

I'd really like some of you to follow what TH is saying in the 'what was wrong with the professions' area as he really is more or less saying their building on that now imho. You'll still see a lot of the other complaints about NGE though... so be ready to read through even more hum drum.

im still pissed about the fact i cant use flame guns anymore!!!
i mean really, all i can use now are marksman style weapons? what the hell is that. i might as well respec to bountyhunter.

Well someone mentioned that they are working on getting some Commando stuff added back in. Think of the flamer as Temporarily disabled... not perma.

A Flechette Pistol isn't a bad way to go if ya liked the 'flash' effects that some of the old commando stuff had. Along with some Nades.

As for that March thing... I'd discount it as just more rampant rumor planted by those that want to see the game burried now. I fully expect to see it still around next summer. Just my opinion though.

I think the game is getting better though... after only just a few hotfixes I can tell a big difference. Still more bugs and development to work out, of course.

Ya I agree, seems to be the same time every year where SOE is losing SWG.

I also agree it's getting better, I dont think many jedi are gonna ever be happy, I know they got hit the hardest. But I am really enjoying BH and aside from player bounties its probably better than it was before as far a fun playing, of course thats just my opinion.


Commando weapons will be coming back, they are just trying to balance them with the new system. There is a thread in the Commando forums talking about this.

according to a contact a friend of mine has in SOE. they may be performing a roll back on the game before its "purchased by an outside party"

deffinition: nge sucked so badly they cost themselves the playerbase. now they want to remove more of the playerbase and waste millions in advertising campaigns and copies of the game out in stores (starter kit) to roll it back and lose all the clients that where enjoying the nge

considering soe fucked over the force sensitive profession with the nge. (removed our stats from it) there wont be any new jedi for a long long time (we'd all have to redo our quests xp etc)

personally i think the combat system now is finally starting to look like something enjoyable again. but considering i couldnt fight two level 26 storm troopers with my lightsaber.. still not desireable enough

im one of the people that stuck around post nge to see the new era ushered in. and now if they roll back to the days of old. ill be gone without a second thought. ive gotten to speak to a few of you outside of game and hope those friendships flourish.

but ill never get to see another game like swg

Yeap, player base was rocked. A good portion of this community hated it... but I think TH is more or less telling you what I'm telling you... NGE is staying and their working on the game right now! But, thing is, their working on NGE... not CU. It's gone, it's history.

And according to Toront's contact, they will never roll back the server Sharn.

How you choose to use your specials is important. Spy's smoke grenade let me choose when to break off combat but the Jedi's force run does the same.

Jedi also has the best defense against ranged. Total immunity.

Jedi's heal is also much faster than a spy's.

Force choke is a great snare and cycles for reuse before it expires. You will slow a player or mob down to a walk speed on flat ground.

Force storm is a good long term snare but cycles slower and it will expire before you can reuse it. Force choke in the meantime.
