Hmm.. do you really think it's wise to name a planet "Buffy"? Not that I'm against the Buffdom but it just doesn't fit into theme does it?

So, who will crack the first "Planet X slays me!" joke?

I personally don't see how they can call a KBO a planet. Bet the Buffy name sticks, not the Inuit one.

Is this part of a new expansion or will every player get it?

Go 'head, Astronomy. The cosmos throws yet another ball of yarn to our "curious cat" minds.
The universe is not only stranger than we think it is, it is stranger than we can think it is. - Carl Sagan

I thought we already had a tenth planet?

There is a tenth out there. But I wouldn't confuse the thread title with what the article is really saying. The main cause for the astronomers' focus on this object is it's irregularly slanted orbit angle combined with the fact that it's course is circular not elliptical. Objects claiming both of those behaviours are rare in our knowledge and it's got the community stumped. The object may be a "theory killer" as they put it. Scientists love theory killers.

I really love theory killers.
My sig is sort-of an example of that. (it's a song lyric)
There are a lot of "mysteries" that science explains through some pretty far fetched means. Yet most people are willing to believe in it.
