I heard about this when my wife was watching ET or something stupid. They were talking about who from the cast of Dallas was signed up for a flight.

I was like, "Commercial Spaceport!!!"

They obviously had the worst angle for that story. A commercial space program is possibly the biggest thing that could happen to humanity as far as space exploration since we touched down on the moon.
If people didn't throw such a fit about Bush wanting a moon base they would have extra incentive for civilians and corporations to dump money into space.
