just wondering what people are playing these days...
I know WoW is the king, and there's still some diehard SWG'ers around, but there has to be others people are interested in...

I tried EVE online. Don't like it. That was my adventure outside of SWG for the year (that and WoW oh and EQ2... oh and SRO too).

I'm playing WOW exclusively now. I've been trying to keep my playing to mostly the weekend but that's not happening =)

Right now, I'm playing a free MUD called Aetolia by Iron Realms. You can find it at both
Aetolia.com and
IronRealms.com.

WoW.. the RP community is so-so.. I think it is still trying to find itself.
One problem is that the game offers so many things to do that settling down for some RP is not always easy. I've found many players who RP tabletop, but dont really know how to translate that into MMO RP.
The WoW community does do PvE a lot better than SWG. They are generally more generous and have loot rules that make sense.
In SWG.. it's usually ninja everything. In WoW they do Need before Greed. Meaning, if you need an item (meaning, your char who helped get it can and will use it), you get it before someone who wants it for greed (giving an item to an alt, guildie, or selling it).

Most good players follow the need before greed rule. Even in SWG. But they're getting mroe rare to find now.

I was just in a group today with people in our community and that did not happen. Someone who could not even use the item got it.

I'm thinking he meant more to the point that the person who got it would probably give it to someone who could use it.
If they're a greedy ninja, then don't play with 'em.

Playing City of Villains now.
No RP what-so-ever. The game just doesn't lend itself to it at all. However, it's escapist fun, with a good PvP system, so it has my interest for now.

http://swgtales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7119 A WoW RP Contact List signup can be found here, and I'd like to encourage everyone to start signing up there. Once I get more than one person signing up I'll get the list started.

Encourage people outside the site to sign up, too.
If there's a game that people would like to see a sign up sheet for, also, please let me know.

I'm sticking to just SWG. However, it sounds like we might have some Second Life networkers and whatever that Beta Pirate Game is seems to have caught a few peoples attention too.
