Any feelings about pub 10 coming out tuesday?
I'm mostly curious about what the requirements for the old man to visit you are, does anyone know?

I've been on TC2 a bunch before tonight , and the general consensus is 60+ badges, including:Hashum wrote:I'm mostly curious about what the requirements for the old man to visit you are, does anyone know?
Exar Kun's temple
Ben Kenobi's house
Jedi Temple Ruins
Both Warren badges
A 'vette badge
At least one elite profession mastered badge.
Edit: Also at least one theme park badge.
If you get all the POI badges and the exploration badges, that totals 50 right there. Get back and do Cries of Alderaan III if you haven't already. Rumor has it that the CoA badges hold more "weight" that the others.
That should (in theory) get the old man's attention.
As far as my opinions on 10 coming Tuesday? It's a godsend if you want to quest in order to build force sensativity. It's a burdon if you're a merchant. It's hell incarnate if you're an afk macro-muffin with no other knowledge than "/macro beg" at the end of your preset macro.

They mean the "old man" as in your father. You see in the movies Vader (Luke's old man) came after him when he got force sensitive. So when you become force sensitive now, your old man comes and lets you know about it.
He also scolds you for that time you accidentally burnt the rug when you were 7.
LOL. I dunno.

60 badges?!? What the crap, It will take me a year to get 60 badges. Let alone the Vette! None of those stupid POI badges work right, I went to like 5 yesterday and only was able to get 1 to work. I'm starting to dislike this publish

yeah the POI badges... some of them are screwy.. and you have to actually do stuff to get them...
like at fort tusken you actually have to fight tuskens in the caves and make it all the way through them to get the badge..

Ok, i spent like 4 hours on trying to unlock. First, you have to have those things like 60 badges and what not. After you have all of that, you go kill crap...
You go to naboo, corellia, or tatooine and kill stuff. Soon or later, some guy will pop out of no where and says he has to talk to you. Then he tells you about the force. If you accept his offer, he will give you a glowing crystal. This crystal will work as a check point thing. It will tell you your missions and tell you waht you have complete. After you do this, you just lok around... again. Soon, some sith thugs will show up with a base and attack you, there should only be two. When you kill them, you get two data discks. They will give you a wp. (you only need one of these discks, but it gives you two.
) You go to that wp, and you kill all, ALL the people at the base. There will be around 3 sith thugs there. you kill them, then you get sonother datadisk. THis one will tell you to go to the dathimir. There, you go to the starport that is most south. (sorry, forgot its name) Then women will talk to you just like the old man. She will give you a WP to the village. (If you didn't get permision from her to go there, a force field will block you path. In other words, if she doesn't contact you and tell you about the place, you wont be able to pass the force field.) When you go there, you will need to find the Village elder. He will tell you about the sith and so on. Here is where you get to choose waht you want. You will ahve three different paths you can take. The wound healing path, the combat patrol path, or the crafting path. I went through the combat one (i was a master BH with R.I.S. armor and a AV. I made my character, made him BH, and when i relogged, i had the stuff.) The combat way is bugged horribly. If someone kills the siths at you WP when it tells you you hear voices in the wend or something like that, you will fail. You had to go to 8 different wp around the village area. Then come back to the combat guy and tell him you did them. If you didb't go to all o them or if someone kills your siths, then he tells you to do it again. This will happen, A LOT, and on top of that, you have to do this 10 times... i stopped after the 7 try on the 4/10 patrol. So, thats all i know. Hope this helps some.

Interesting...sounds like a painful experiment all its own to be sure. Then I heard you had to sacrifice skill points to get "Jedi" skill points. The rate would depend on the skill points you're sacrificing.
I thought it was like 9-1 Medical (i.e. give up 9 skill points in medical skills = 1 Jedi skill point); 30-1 Combat (Woaw!); etc.
*Suddenly, Luke forgets how to fly his X-wing and plows right into a star destroyer*
