SWG Tales

Something that just popped into my head...

I think it would be infinately useful to new roleplayers if they had an easy to find reference containing info on the playable SW races.

So, somebody go do this.


Kidding! But hey, I would be willing to work with some of my fellow twi'leks to do a little research an put something together for our race.

Thoughts?

I would definitly have to research.. I still don't have a full story on Lok'i's backround.. It just kinda... goes with the flow... Seret helped me with my intro to Lok'i I still need help with the rest of him...

I would be willing to do research about Twi'Leks... I could also use some help with my storyline.. *wink Seret, *wink Ekade, ;)

In the Prima Strategy Guide that was hawked on SWG launch day, there was about 300 words on each playable race. I touched lightly on this for Keer's background (bio coming soon). Did anybody else get that guide?

Someone on the SOE SWG Roleplay Forum invented her own Twi'lek history of the Twi'lek race. I have yet to read through the entire work.

Other than that, my Google search for any other LucasArts info on Twi'leks hasn't given more than what was in the Prima guide or the Star Wars Database. Same for the other playable races.

Anyone else found anything? On any player race? If so, where?

**ZAPP!** Oooh! Brain bolt just hit me! What a great idea for a quest! SOE could sponsor Race Quests! I'm not particular for many badges but one that I wouldn't mind sporting:

"....has uncovered the mysterious history of the Twi'lek peoples."

Each race could have a quest for discovering more history on their heritage...or, depending on the info, destroy/cover-up that history...Bwa ha haaa!

You could check out the RPG guides on the races. I have them in pdf format somewhere... I'll keep looking. let you know what I find.

Tekla found a great site that Google had cached regarding the history of the Zabrak race. I'm sure someone just posted it from one of the RPG books (at least I hope that's the case and they're not making all of this up).

At any rate, if Seret throws a page together for this stuff (or multiple pages or whatever), consider Zabraks covered.

Well it seems my race is the more easy one me being human and all. I guess my race is just cultureliss.

I think i know which one you refer to.
It is made up of pieces of EU-Stuff, though even there is not much to find about Twi'lek, at least not much that i know of :lol:
It is mixed with the players own thoughts about the race, based on the basics given by the EU, most of them pretty good stuff though i would not agree to all conclusions made.

Since I prefer GURPS I went to their sites first.

Check out the denizens stuff. marginal info but it has more races than what are even playable and may help with background on offworld adventures you wish to use to enhance your stories.

I think its a great idea.

I'll compile it all together and put the guides together for this site.

Put "Character Race Info" in the subject line so I can organize them.

All those who contribute will be credited of course.

I encourage everyone to possible throw in a few ideas of their own. We don't have to use every little bit of info from the old West End Games books but it sure helps. Be creative and add some spice to your race if that info doesn't already exist.

This can greatly help new players, or even current ones, get into their characters more by learning intersting facts about their culture. It will be a great tool to build backgrounds and help others RP around character from their race and others.

I would LOVE to help you with your storyline. You got me hooked a few weeks ago, and I still want to follow up on that. I am also intrigued with Seret's storyline as well. We need to get into this. I think our backgrounds mesh in interesting ways.

I think a good background makes it much easier to get into character. These guildes will help new roleplayers.. heck. they will probably help all of us.

I have encyclopedia of Races. Since I am a bum until school starts next Monday, I shall type it in an email and send to Seret. .
