I'm sure a place like Scarborough Research, that has been doing market research for over 30 years, would be biased, and favor the Bears...Shensen wrote:A completely biased opinion not taking into account regional and cultural differences.
Not too smart to me.
Not impressed. Regionally Carolina's job market pays less because the cost of living is less, therefore yes Chicago may be "richer" by the numbers, but as I said they obviously didn't take into account regional differences. It would be like saying Beverly Hills is richer than Chicago...um, no shit and I didn't even need a market research team lol.Skorixor wrote:I'm sure a place like Scarborough Research, that has been doing market research for over 30 years, would be biased, and favor the Bears...Shensen wrote:A completely biased opinion not taking into account regional and cultural differences.

I don't know about you, but of all the college age kids I know, a shit ton more than 43 percent of em have had a beer in the last 30 days. The fact that the panthers haven't been around long would appeal to a younger audience that hasn't already had a team that they have been rooting for, for years. It is entirely possible that many of the fans are still in college and therefore not making money yet.
There are a lot of variables that are not shown in the study. But I wouldn't say that it is not an accurate portrayal of the fanbases in their current states.
If a broader number of fans live closer to where they play then how can regional differences mean little? It would make more sense that if in fact a broader number lived in the playing area then they would mean more and the sporatic fan here and there throughout the country would mean less and not have as much weight in such surveys.Skorixor wrote:yes a broader number would live closer to where they play, but not necessarily...
so you're saying, that because the panthers have less fans (which I agree they do) that they are dumber, poorer, and more sober?Shensen wrote: I just think Carolina has less fans lol
yeah all we drink up here in Chicago, since we're so rich, is Sam Adams Utopias...25% alcohol and $100 bottleShensen wrote:No no no - they are more sober because they drink nothing but light beers whereas the edumacated folk up north drink all them fancy imports. :P
