Personally I dont really care for it. Spidys costume is a clasic there's no reason to mess with it.

Ok, so... just to make sure I'm on the same page of what this seems to be saying...

Spiderman is still the wall crawling web slinging friendly neighborhood hero we all know and love; Peter Parker with radioactive spider powers. But, he's now going to be taking on the role of Iron Man too because Tony Stark finally got too drunk to do his own job in the comic?

Yeap, this'll cost Peter big time! He should just put the Venom suit back on.

Consequently, isn't it 'amazing' how everytime they do a superhero revamp; it's usually not too many months later that they go back to 'classic' models that they should've stuck with in the first place?

I don't follow comic's much now, so I don't know anything about this "Civil War" thing they mentioned but it just doesn't seem fair to me.

It looks decent, but I think it is a bad idea. The only spider-man costume extras I have liked were the black suit, original, ben reiley's, and scarlet spider. This design just seems odd.

Maybe they will make spidey a drunk now too. That would be kind of funny. Crashing face first into walls a la Wyle E. Coyote and the acme rocket. I would buy that.

I've been lookin' forward to the "Evolve or Die" plot they've been hyping for months in the Spidey comics. It's been explained as Spidey has to make a choice, because he's finally faced with an enemy that he can't beat with his current power level.

If this is the result of that story, I think I might start buying Iron Man, instead. At least the originial version of the "Man wears a suit of armor to fight evil" idea is so good it's being copied over the greatest Marvel superhero of all time. ...plus, I hear Tony's still da pimp.

Currently in there is a story line going on called "Evolve or Die" as Iago said he's faced with a villian he cannot beat so what do they do so he can beat this villian? They have him evolve. Last issues I read of this story Spidy got these "stingers" that pop out of his for arms where the web fluid would come from then he dies then sheds his skin (no fokes thats the right order).

My guess is that the suit accomidates the new stingers and as for the reason IM is the one to design it? Well resently Spidy has joined the Avengers so IM is simply providing a team mate a new suit.

The Civil War story is supose to be Marvel's answer to DC's Infinite Criss (Great Story so far by the way).

Secret Wars 1 & 2 were The Beyonder pulling a rehash of The Gamesmaster's Contest of Champions pulling a rehash of original Star Trek's Savage Curtain episode.

Adam Warlock was the "good guy" in The Infinity War, Infinity Crusade, and Infinity Abyss rehashes.
