I loathe Valentines Day!

Why do we need to specify one day a year in which we are supposed to profess our affection for our loved ones? Shouldn't this occur everyday? Why don't we just have an Official Shower Day just so we can encourage people to only shower one day a year as opposed to every day. Just imagine how much extra time we will create.
