JtL - Restoration aka SPAAaaaAAaacE!

This is not a deep dive Jump to Lightspeed - Restoration Guide (yet?), unfortunately. Though, it is a mention of some tips and observations that I've had since playing SWG again.

1. The Neutral (Smuggler's Alliance/Privateer) Escort missions that are given by Shamdon Kree (on the Lady Valarian mission arc) are not working. You can play them, sure, but they never stop spawning new cargo escorts. And when you leave, then you have failed the mission.

I did 8 straight escorts and spent maybe 2 hours in space, just to make sure than I wasn't stopping too soon. Nope. I left the mission. Landed. Failed it. "You have abandoned the mission." All together I probably escorted 16 cargo freighters over the course of 2 days, before I took the advice to "Just do the Kill Missions. They are faster anyway."

Bingo. I started doing those and there were no problems.

I chose the escorts because I figure the level of difficulty was higher. You not only have to protect yourself but also protect the client.

Ah, well. Damn escort pilot exploitation is what it is. Gotta call my Smuggler's Alliance rep!

Oh, nooo! I think it is just those Neutral Escort Missions from Shamdon Kree, the Pilot Trainer in The Lucky Despot. I haven't had a problem since I switched to Kill missions. And I haven't heard of anyone else having problems in other spaces. Two players that I know achieved Master yesterday, one Neutral (RSF Naboo - Imperial aligned), the other Rebel, and they didn't have problems.

I think it is just the Neutral (Smuggler's Alliance - Republic aligned) Escorts missions that have the problem of not being able to complete. I am minutes away from testing out the same Escort missions again, just in case. There was a patch since the last time I tried.

Currently, just shy of Level 6 equipment, which puts me a tad over halfway to Master. Still a lot more to go. I'll be upping the risk today beyond the NPC missions to increase the pace.

Nice. I will have to see if I still have my old stick or if one of the boys has appropriated it without filling out the proper paperwork or if it is just non-functional after ~17ish years?

I hope to get some stick time in the near future. Between the kids activities and a pretty good tabletop gaming group I have been staying busy.

I still have the Saitek Cyborg that I bought specifically for JtL Launch. Still works, though it's my backup now. Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is what I use.

My D&D group will be re-starting sometime this Spring, but we may only get together once or twice per month.

Keer has a very well-crafted YT-1300 standing by once he reaches Master Pilot. Lots of room for gunners and damage techs. Role Play-wise it will be a wholly unique model. I'm theory-crafting that design now.

Yeah I had one with the throttle and a bunch of programmable buttons that I liked. It was usb so I would need an adapter for usb c. I can’t get the game to load right now.
