Everyone notice the loading screen and/or the swg website front page?

To summarize, they are now allowing you to transfer your character with skills and XP minus items and cash to another server for a fee. I'm posting this not because I want to transfer or am worried about losing any of you guys...but what servers are KNOWN for RP? If we keep it up we may get a bit of a reputation here with people joining Gorath because of our rep as an RP server.

I did a little looking a few months ago and did not see any indication of an RP server that stands out. If there was, I might not be here typing this.

There is nothing wrong with taking a look. But note that the transfer service is pretty crappy. All you get are skills.

As far as Gorath's rep.. you do bring up a good point. We may wat to start posting in the SOE RP Forums a little. I think we are approaching the point where we could say, "Hey, come to Gorath. The RP rocks here".

I'd loan a transfer player some bucks to get on their feet/claws/fins and even hustle with them to help them make some money and loot.

I know how they feel. 6 short weeks ago I would have been ready to roll from Gorath.

Actually, I had heard that Starsider was the unofficial RP server. I spent a short while over there, however, and it was sorta a ghost server and I didn't see any.

I think Gorath is the RP server of SWG. I'm sure there are RPers on other servers but we've got to rank up there in terms of number of RPers.

On a side note, I can't get Mr. Dooo's name out of my head. I was going around my office at work today just saying Meeeeeeeee-star Dooooooo. I think it got to some people after a few hours. I blame Mr. Doo.

Dooo has that effect on people. On behalf of all of Nocturnus, I apologize for Mr. Fishypants. (We have to do that often)

I wouldnot pay that much cash to transfer a charecter besides I can buy a new account for that much.

I had also heard Starsider was the unnofficial RP Server. Then I heard Valcyn was. A player from Valcyn was kinda the reason I started RPing and I had thought about making another character there.

Personally, I can't believe that Sony is charging $30 for a character transfer. Oh wait...it's SONY!

heh.. and if you want to start a new account and change servers with the character it's $60 screw it You shoulda started on that server with the char to begin with heh...

I dont know though... but still that is rediculously priced...
