Player Bounties (Another Idea)

This is something that I came up with when Galaxies first came out back then people wern't as organized as they are now so who knows maybe this can take off in our circiles

Bounty Type One: Dead Man Walking--this bounty is open ended. The contracter post in forum or on a websit a mark (mark must accept in same manner). Any Bounty Hunter signed up with this program can attempt the bounty. No time limit. Mark is allowed to move about the galaxy at will. Bounty ends when the mark is incapasitated. This bounty type's preffered contractors are Imperials of high ranking and criminal organizations.

Bounty Type Two: Contest of Wills--this is a timed bounty. In this form a contracter will bet the mark that he/she cannot survive a predetermined time while any or a specified Bounty Hunter tracks him/her. If the mark survives he/she wins the the ammount of the bet (note the bet and the bounty are two seperat ammounts the contracter can place a bounty higher then the bet or lower it's his/her preogative). If the bounty hunter incaps the mark the bounty hunter is paid the bounty and the contracter wins the bets sum. The mark can only stay to a specified planet. Bounty ends when the mark is incapasitated. This Bounty type's preffered contractors and marks are gammblers, crime lords, and rich nobles.

Bounty Type Three: Civil War--this bounty is open ended. The contractor post a bounty for members of opposing faction. This Bounty is for a generic sum of 1-10k dependent on the aggreed upon sum of the faction members. Each Faction (Imperial and Rebel) create a pool of credits from which this generic ammout is pulled from. This is to be paided to any bounty hunter who kills a faction member who is signed up for this program. The mark is allowed to move about the galaxy at will. The bounty ends when the mark is incapasitated. This Bounty type's preffered contractors are Imperials. This Bounty type's prefered marks are Rebels. Clerification--In the Galatic War that wages we must remember that the Empire is the entity in control they have the resorces and the means to put effective bounties on people. This bounty type is in a sence issuded not buy those involved in the program but by the Emporer himself. I would prefer not to see the rebels do this because in the continum the rebelion does not have sufficit funds to pay bounty hunters to kill imps indicriminatly.

The Price for Failure

When a Bounty Hunter fails to kill a mark the contractor may take it out on the Bounty Hunter. For game mechanics we cannot have ever time one of the bounty hunters fail he/she becomes a mark. This will no dout draw the Hunters away from the program so instead the hunters have a limit. If any one bounty hunter fails an indivdual contrator 3 times the contractor may place a BT1 on the bounty hunter.

For Bounty Completed Comfirmation

For comfirming a bounty was accually finnished all members of this program will be issued a ring. The rings specific number will be registered to the corisponding player. Upon compleation of a bounty the mark will give this ring to the bounty hunter and inturn the bounty hunter will present the ring to the contractor to resive the bounty. The Mark may choose to retirive this ring or can be issued a new one dependet on wheater or not the contractor wishes to keep it as a keepsake.



Well there u have it people thats my idea for how this should run BT1 and BT3 are accept when challeged by a declared Bounty Hunter. BT2 is a duel the run to different locations. BT3 Bounty Hunters of factions that this bounty is placed for are up for grabs. I personally would like to see pets and groups used by Bounty Hunter and Mark both. A bounty isn't some kind of game those involved take what ever means to compleat and avoid it. Boba didn't hold back on hunting down Han just because Han didn't have armor on.
