I'm off to PAX folks, so if you need anything from Nocturnus, talk to Zannon or Seret or anyone else you might suspect is in the militia there in town (sorry, militia's the only way to grant zoning rights).

I have always wanted to ask you how the hell I can break in to the industry... Its my dream job. I am already a programmer, but I do boring business applications... Ugh.

I live in MD the uneventful state (unless you count the sniper shootings... and me living close to DC.. .but I totally feel that living close to DC isn't really a good thing.. in fact it rather sucks...

Very Cool man.. I'm a network engineer... I work for a Govt. Contractor, and currently for the White House Communications Agency... I am in DC like once a week right now, at the Eisenhower Building, and the West Wing of the White house...

Pretty soon it will be an every day thing though...

I work at Department of Homeland Security as a Gov't Contractor too lol. I run one of the shifts here for IT support, admin, and VTC's. Nice to have forums to look at cause my shifts are 12 hrs a piece.

Oh cool, it is in Bellvue. I was in that town last year. All the Seattle-esque grunge-type people crack me up. In the midwest the grunge look has come and gone, but they are still clinging to it there.

Jabe, just get my number from Seret or Zan or Dooo (or anyone else who might have it) and give me a call. I'm not very knowledgeable about what you need to know programming-wise, but I *do* know you need lots of C++ experience. I can ask some of the programmers I'm friendly with on the team for their advice.

Dillion, I live in the Chicago 'burbs. I'm totally flying out there for this shindig.

And as far as being cool goes, I think that subject is hotly debated. As in, people typically debate passionately on the side of not cool ;)

I feel ya man I'm workin 5 10's a week... and right now all we are doing is surveys, and we have to wait for clearance for "certian offices" so we can go in and look around...

so most of my time is spent in my companies remote office in waldorf MD...

For now anyway...
