SWG Tales

I just heard about this game a couple weeks back...looks like it might be some fun LAN action. Haven't played a good LAN game since Battlefield and this looks a similar game.

Anyone else plan on getting it?

I haven't really picked up into FPS lately. I was always partial to Quake 3 and UT. But a SW version... I'd like to try it at least. So What the hey.

The Mad Monkey Brigade (a BF Clan I am in) Was talking about this game about 5 months ago when it was bieng developed... Maybe longer dayum... I will be getting it... and if it is a turd I will be sooo upset...

I have been waiting for battle front seince...SWG. It looks realy good and has some good reveiws from what I have seen.

Yes, I'm pretty stoked about this game if not for one set of features alone.

Thats the Galatic Conquest (ironically the same name as a Star Wars BF 1942 mod) Mode. In this mode 2 teams must battle over the galaxy and take over planets. The cool part is the bonuses you get. If the Imperials take over Vader's home planet of Tatooine then Vader will show up in their next battle to help. If the Rebels fight the Imperials on Endor the Ewoks will help them out. You can also get help from other big SW personalities and control the deathstar to instantly win planets.

Plus some battles sound great. Some are multi-tiered, like the Battle of Hoth, which is fought in 3 stages from the AT-AT fight to inside Echo Base.

But you are absolutley right.. considering most of us play SWG too.. We are a pretty well rounded clan/group.

And SW Battlefront is gonne kick aaaaassss!

I heard both. It might just be first person when your using a sniper scope but I've seen screens that show both ways. Either way I'm cool, I like 3rd person better but 1st person is fine in my book.

You can pick from 1st or 3rd. It's all up to you now. Until the Combat rebalance and the GCW gets fixed, our PA is going to take the PvP from SWG to SWBF. Heh. That means if people start spittin' evil, we tell 'em to take it to Battlefront. If they don't have it? They lose by default. LoL

Seriously, though.. I think that this game could have massive crossover appeal for those "battle hardened" characters out there. It'll most certainly let them recall some of the most intense battles "they've ever seen." That's definately one reason I'm getting it...

That and the fact that you can hear Vader's breathing as soon as his shuttle touches down.. All other audio just... Dies down for like five seconds.. And you know he's coming. /shiver That's how it is on the demo build, anyway.

Whoa step back. I haven't seen a demo for this game yet. Where'd you kind folks get ahold of that?

I know an Xbox playable demo comes with the new Star Wars Triology DVD set this month and the Official Playstation Magazine coming out has a PS2 playable demo but thats all I know. Is it a PC demo and if so where can we get it?
