Hey their aren't a band anymore ;) hehehe

I am into alot of music... Mainly metal, and classic rock.

I like some new age rock stuff, jazz, country, hip-hop, and tidbits of other stuff...

I completley despise Punk music, and most rap.

I enjoy mostly classical music and movie soundtracks, with some other random stuff thrown in...mostly Japanese pop, American folksy popular and some bluegrass and blues, also some techno kinda stuff...I really don't know all the 'proper' names for music genres... My favorites are Bonnie Pink, Gackt, Ayumi Hamasaki, Taku Iwasaki, Brahms, Mahler, John Williams (duh), Sheryl Crow, and some other people. Junior Senior, Radiohead...um...I really like a lot of individual songs by artists. Too many to list. I love music in different languages, and when I get the extra money (never) I wanna learn to play the accordian. I LOVE accordian music.

I listen to mostly classic rock with some of the newer stuff (i.e Tool, Killers, Audioslave) but nothing beats Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band and all those great bands.

I play bass guitar so I like a lot of blues and jazz as well, some great bassists have come from those genres.

I listen to both kinds of music, country and western.

Actually I like classic rock, blues, and several oddball forms of music also.

Prince 1978 - about 1995

Marvin Gaye 1970 - 1982

Outside of that there are only 2 kinds of music. Music that I like and music that I don't.

Hardly informing, but there are tunes from most styles that I absolutely love and hate just as much.

It'd be easier to tell you what type of music that I hate. I hate Polka. Period. I have never heard a Polka song that I liked. *shrug*

I have a VERY wide range of music interests, so I really can't say I like any one type more than others. Here's a basic run down fo bands and music types I listen to:

Bands:

barenaked ladies
Crystal Method
Juno Reactor
Paul Okenfold
Nine Inch Nails
Alanis Morissette
Tori Amos
The Door
The Beatles
The Beach Boys
Any piece of music written by John Williams
Harry Connick jr
Brian Setzer Orchestra

Styles:
Trance and Techno
Film Scores
Irish and Celtic Influenced pop-alternative (the drovers, Lorenna Mckennit)
Japanese Drum music
WWII area pop music from the US and England

Ok, that covers about the whole music spectrum:)

I like rock. But I'm in a sad state music-wise. I'm bored wth just about everything. And that might have something to do with most of the crap that's been coming out the last few years. It also has alot to do with the fact that I'm nearly always listening to something at work, so stuff gets repeated waaay too often. I currently have all the studio albums by Radiohead on heavy rotation, but my taste trends toward the heavier stuff like Tool and Rage Against the Machine.

Hey, I'll listen to just about any rock. Anyone wanna send me something? :D

Dooo...I've got a good one for you to check out, I'll e-mail it to you on Monday..it's a trance re-mix of "The End" by the Doors. It's an instant classic.

I guess I can say I like all, but I'm a techno freak when it comes down to it. So I'll just list that...

Crystal Method
Prodigy
Aphex Twin
Juno Reactor
Josh Wink
Autechre
Chemical Brothers
Fat Boy Slim
Paul Oakenfold
Underworld
Basement Jaxx
Lords of Acid
Leftfield
Delerium
Gigi D'Agostino
(Plus a wide variety of various compilations)

And though maybe not considered Techno close enough for me:
Lo-Fidelity Allstars
Pop Will Eat Itself
Nitzer Ebb

Anything with soul and a funky beat. Country music need not apply.

Mess'Tar, have you heard of Dream Theatre's stuff? If you're a Tool fan, you'll love them. Download a song called Metropolis by them, its one of the most instrumentally intense songs of the genre. Kind of a psychadellic metal group like Tool.

Also, get Tool's cover of No Quarter by Led Zeppelin if you haven't already; another one you'll love.
