Well considering the number of getting to know you threads lately I figured why not add another. I'm just curious what everyone does for a living. I'm and accountant for a company called ArvinMeritor. Any other number crunchers?

Graphic Designer
Professionall I work for Cars.com in Downtown Chicago as a "Dealer Product Designer." Bascially I make things look pretty. I also sit next to the Dooo.

I also do Freelance graphic work for logos, websites, etc. Thats the work I love but it doesn't pay the bills. Some projects, and yes I know a lot of you already know this, I've worked was www.darickr.com, the personal website of Marvel Comics Wolverine artist Darick Roberston, www.transmetropolitan.com for the same artist, and hopefully one day I'll get back in touch with the guy I was working with on the offiical site for the DVD release of the movie Orgasmo (from the creators of South Park).

Like I said, if I could make a career out of my freelance work but sadly I have to dwell in the corporate world to pay the bills.

I'm a senior loan underwriter for BNC Mortgage. I'm the bad guy that decides how much money you get and what it's gonna cost you to pay it back when you want to buy a refinance a house.

I animate on video games.

But I work full time for the PA Joint Headquarters Command, PA National Guard. I was a traditional guardsman, weekend warrior, until about 4 years ago when I became a full time federal technician working for them.

I really can't talk about my job too much other than to say I work in communications and the military occupation specialty that I went to school for, but don't really work in anymore, is 35E Radio/COMSEC repairer.

I have been in the military for 8 years now. I have no deployments overseas, but with other members of my unit constantly deploying I forsee one in the near future.

I am a computer programmer that mostly does programming for police departments and municipalities. I am currently involved with upgrading several Chicago suburbs from a very old DOS system to a web based criminal records system. We're currently getting squad cars linked up to wireless connections that bring all the criminal data to the field.

Well... I am still in School. Trying to get a degree in creative wrighting. Storys and whatnot. I have a few other things going for me. I have an offer from a gaming company about assisting in wrighting a story for an RPG. I am not giving my hopes up. I am just one out of 10 who are after it. I hope I get picked but like I said I am not realy counting on it. I also work part time with my cousin in a game shop. Selling video games and other game related things.

Hello, my name is Kelly and I'm an English major. (*chorus* Hello, Kelly.)

I'm still a student at a small liberal arts college in a small Alabama town, and I'm aiming to get the English degree thingy, with a lot of Spanish under my belt. Hopefully with that I'll move on to University of Alabama to get a Masters in English as a Second language, which doesn't mean English is *my* second language, but rather I'll teach English to others as a second language.

Eventually I'd like to be in a classroom setting, be fluent in (at least) Spanish and Japanese, and possibly work overseas as an English teacher for a few years at some point to get...yah know. Flavor of other cultures.

But that's all just goals...right now I'm just a student. Onward through World Lit. I and II.

Ah, I too am going to school, currently I'm going to David Lipscomb University and persuing a B.S. in Accounting. I've completed a little over 2 years so far but haven't been able to take a class the last few months due to my wife having a baby. I just can't bare to leave the little guy any more then I have to at this point.
