Are the new requirements for Jedi making it too easy?
I was just going around with Bilko last night gettin some exploration badges, and getting him through the Warren, by the end of the night I felt and inner glow, and the Force was with me. Is this making Jedi to easy, or are the quests going to be what makes the Jedi path difficult?

The quests are gonna be what is the jedi killer...
But hey if you can do the warren dude you should be leader and take us all one time ;)

The Warren is really easy. Truthfuly, you want a smal group. I completed the whole warren with myself and some other guy.

Right now the warren is really easy.
We went through today without even fighting once... just awfully crowded.
And i don't think it is to easy to be a jedi.
You don't get jedi by collecting some badges or some quests, but after you get the needed force sensitive skills boxes (wich you can get after you done the needed quests).
Ask Novall, he's done some maths to know how many xp one will need to actually go from force sensitive to jedi padawan.
Anything else but easy. Grinding at its best.

I think Dasumi is correct. Sure getting the "inner glow" is pretty easy but thats just to get you started on the quests. When you actually face the actual quests in the village that takes time, skill, and skill points. People may not want to continue the path after they see what it takes.

Its around 120,000,000 XP to get enough jedi xp to make padawan. I've already decided that I wouldnt make it a priority to hunt just for jedi XP. I'll do boxes when I can, and if it takes forever...then I wont know any differentSeret Sajet wrote:I think Dasumi is correct. so about 120 mil xp then ehh. Is that any xp, or a certain type? If it's just in general xp, time to get some made combat skills and go on some fatty hunts.

I think it equates to various type of xp. I heard that combat xp can be traded in for Jedi xp at the village at a ratio of 3:1. So if your in a combat profession I would guess that you would need about 360 mil combat xp.Snewpy wrote:so about 120 mil xp then ehh. Is that any xp, or a certain type? These are the ratios at which any type of xp can be converted (could still be wrong though):Jabe Adaks wrote:I think it equates to various type of xp. Novalls 120 million are based on the weapons xp ratio as far as i know, correct me if i'm wrong, so you need 120 million of standard weapon xp to get the required force xp for 24 force sensitive skill boxes.

Lol. I figure if all I do is sit here and grind...then I can probably make it in maybe 3-4 months. However, since this isnt primary on my list...more like a year for me.Abos wrote:thats not that bad

Now that I've had a chance to get through some of the Jedi quest features I have a little more perspective on it. I have to say that all-in-all this new system is sound and clever. If you really look it you realize this simple puts people towards Jedi in a natural way, miles from the horrific Holocron Grind. Lets look at the stages...
Getting badges to glow with the force:
Sure, everyone in their mother is badge hunting like a kid in a toy store on his birthday but all they are really doing is exploring content in the game. I got 95% of my badges before this Jedi System revamp because I simply wanted to do the theme parks and visit those places. After the revamp I simply said "Hey, I have all those badges but I never finished that theme park, might as well finish it now." People should explore the content of theme parks and locations. Its fun!
Getting a visit from the old man, the sith, and their camp:
These are simple tasks since most of it comes to you and nothing is hard to kill (unless you struggle against evil settlers). The only real purpose of these tasks is to immerse you in the story you're about to be a part of. Consider them a short segway.
The Village:
That place is cool in my book. The eerie setting, the slow music, the desolation of the town. My only gripe is the damn place is 6000 meters from the closest starport. Ugh. The people and stories are interesting.
The Quests:
First you have to decide how you want to help these people of the lost village, and help yourself. Do you want to help as a medic, engineer, scout, dancer, musician, or defender? It all depends on what you are good at. Seret is first and foremost a Swordsmen so he's going to go the defense route.
Now this is the part I like. First I decide what I want to learn. I went with Combat Melee speed. So I then talk to the biggest Rodian I've ever seen and converted my XP. All that 2-handed XP I've had at the cap since I've been a Master Swordsman for so long just got a use. Excellent. But now I want to train. How? Well it seems I have to do quests for the military-man in town before he'll train me. Once again, excellent. I like the fact that I have to help them out before they help me out.
Sorry for the long post about this stuff but I have to say these quests so far are more immersive and interesting than any of the theme parks or missions I've done so far in game. They're fun, they don't force me to grind like a madman (unless I have a hard-on for jedi) and they don't send me too far off my range. I can just go hunting or take missions like I normally but instead of getting no XP I can put it toward new skill enhancements.
So this new Jedi system gets two thumbs up in my book.

Well now that sounds a little more interesting. I wonder how you can help by being a Dancer. I'd like to find out but I am not even close to glowy. :|
