So today at Target I broke down and bought my one-year old daughter, Lilliana, some of the "Star Wars Galactic Heroes" figures. Namely Obi-wan and Darth Vader. They say ages 3-8 but their sold plastic and too big for her to swallow so I didn't see the harm.

So after only 30 seconds of Daddy doing a lightsaber sound demostration she proceeds to walk around the living room with them making lightsaber sounds. I don't think she's ever been more adorable in my life. This borderlines her first steps for me!

So what is the moral of this story? Geek parents have one thing going for them. They have those special moments when you get to share your geekdom with your child and the love it. Proud days indeed.

Here's to hoping that you get to take her to see some Episode 7 action!

I wish she was a bit older I would have her watch ep.1 I think she could get into it.. but right now if it isn't a cartoon, or the wiggles, or blue clues... she ain't into it...

My 4 year old daughter is learning Star Wars through osmosis. She has never seen the movies, but she knows Darth Vadrer and Boba Fett already. She calls ewoks "the cute little baby walking things". She has memorized the opening dialog in the Balgosa Fett Vette video.

The poor stromtrooper mounted on a dewback is forced to prance around with glittery purple horses. I guess he is still suffering the effects of Obi-wan's mind trick. So if you ever wondered what happened to him after "move along", there is your answer.

Stupid Cookies dropping out made me miss this thread yesterday.

AWESOME stuff, man. I can't wait for my Riley to start quoting movies.
