Ok, we've been discussing this in a private Club Midinight planning forum, but now that we've narrowed it down to two choices, we want to hear from EVERYONE.

When should Casino night take place? We've decided that it will only take place EVERY OTHER week because it takes a lot of time and effort to get ready and eats up an entire night.

Soooo.....here are the choices....

I think taking the place of S&V night is the better idea because if it were on Saturday's it would really pack the weekend up with RP events (not that it's a bad thing) but I don't think anyone would want to miss this stuff and I like having 1 day between that I can get some hunting done and just sort of relax.

Yes, if the RP events are back to back to back they might become less fun and less attended.

I'm all for RP all the time but... I know that I work a lot of weekends and I would hate to miss S&V night. Its purely selfish.

I think it should be a Sunday night forum. It mixes things up while allowing us to have our Saturday nights free from missing "cool stuff" concerns. Why look at poor Jinxie!

If this is the case, you wont see my character around it that much. Its just not S&V enough to warrent being S&V. For S&V to be a real place for scum and villany, you have to forgo the rules of common society. It needs to be a place where dirty deeds happen, people get killed, and known criminals can hang out with little to no worry. I dont see the casino as being able to work without having house rules...and with S&V the only rules you can possiably have are loose friendships/allienaces and respect.

Do you think that my character would hesitate to put a hole through the head of someone at the table, or the dealer if he felt he was being cheated? Heh, that there proves my point pretty clearly. This event cannot successfully run and be condusive to true criminal types.

I personally look forward to S&V night...and would gladly give up Roba Friday for S&V Sunday. I'd hate to know i'm gonna have to miss it every other week most of the time because I feel OOC going to a casino. Just so the "Why do you go to the Roba then?" question doesnt pop up. My sole means for attending there is business contacts. I've had many jobs come out of the Roba...and my chracter goes where the credits hit the hardest.

Anyhow, this is just my reason for voting for Saturday.

Well keep in mind if it does occur on S&V night it won't be every week so every other week would be somewhere else, like the Lucky Despot where Novall would fit in.

Besides that I want to get together with my peeps here and work on making it a seedier element so rest assurred we're looking into accomidating more characters like Novall (but not JUST Novall, we like the guy but not THAT much ).

Lol. Well, I'm not speaking for myself..but for the criminality population in general. I'm sure others who RP mean people also echo the same feelings.

I can understand what you mean Novall. While my character may not be ruthless, I'd still like to see a wookiee rip someones arm off after losing, or smashing a slot machine

Hey, even though the folks in Nocturnus clean up for casino night, we are still a group of pirates...if stuff like this happens, I really don't think we'd do anything about it. We're just there to launder credits and fence loot through the casino (did I say that out loud?).
