SWG Tales

After many long days in the desert I finally find myself here...wherever here is....

Greetings I was given directions to this forum by one of your members after they read one of my many "Ain't got no Role-Play in these here parts" post.

So without further adieu here is what I seek. I have been a member of SWG since launch day and have followed the game since inception. The main reason for this is I am a self admitted Rabid Star Wars fan down to my action figure collection and Life size standy of Bobba Fett.

I am also a devout Role Player. I have been Role Playing since I purchased the White Box edition of Dungeons and Dragons back in 1976. I moved into PC gaming around 1988, and was a beta tester for many MMORPG's. I have been a member of several RP guilds in EQ, DAoC and even SWG. My biggest problem is that I have yet to find a RP guild or PA that actually Role Plays. My experience thus far has been thinly guised Rping to promote Power Leveling, or a PA, which is just a Cyber session meeting place. That's not what I am looking for; I am looking for a group that spends there playing time just like a P&P RP group dose. A Group that has event coordinators that facilitates storylines that are part of the overall game storyline.

Basically I want to be a part of the Star Wars universe, to do as the box said and "Live the Saga." Am I dreaming? Is there not a PA in the game that shares the same ideas? That isn't a place for all your buds to become Uber l337 jedi, where players aren't named Buttsniffa, mesohorney, or madebritneygag. A place where coordinators set up events with other like minded PA's, and story archs are given and Role Played. Kinda Like a Virtual LARP I guess. I am basically a low maintenance player with High expectations of the PA I join. The PA doesn't have to be an Uber Guild, I actually prefer that it wasn't, and I prefer that it is a Rebel affiliated PA, as I have seen the Problems Neutral PA's can cause, and I just always prefer playing Rebel.

So there you have it.... Do I continue my search, or is there a like-minded group of Rabid Star Wars fans who could take me in?

Thanks for the Welcome, and I have to say I am very impressed by the design of the site. I do web design for a living and this is top notch. I think I should also mention that I just created my character on Gorath, after playing since launch on Kettemoor. I have heard that Gorath has more than its share of RPers, and I am lookign forward to that after finding virtually none on Kettemoor or Starsider. I am looking forward to meeting al 126 of you.

Thanks Currently Li is on his home planet of Tatoonie where he's managed to pretty much waste the first Twenty Five Years of his life.... But even in the dim corner of the Galaxy a guy named Murphy exsist and right now he exsist to make Li Quans life ummm "Interesting" Li may well indeed end up on Lok, that or the Sarlacc pit, or the local Imperial Stockade.

I suggest you peruse the forums to get a feel for what is going on. In addition, attend some of the RP socials (listed on the calendar *points up*) and interact with the characters there.

Also Sepiv... that name was probably the hardest thing I ever came up with. I wanted something that sounded Star Warsy, and nine times out of ten if you can think of it, its been taken. :lol:

I must tell you I felt the same way you do and I'd always played here on Gorath, but after joining these boards and having the chance to get to know everyone in the last month my game play enjoyment has sky rocketed, and I've had more time to RP then I'd thought was possible due to the people I'd been exposed to prior to this. I've even moved to Lok and I love every minute of it now. I hope to see you around, and if you need anything to help along the way just send me a tell I'd be glad to help out in any way possible.
