I just wanted to introduce myself to the community.

I am Lyle Giford, an Imperial Mon Calamari whom resides on Rori. I have been with SWG since about mid January and have always been on the Gorath Server. I've played the game but I've never gone looking for much information outside the game it's self, heck, I rarely even visit the Official Forums.

I am interested is exploring the Role-playing aspects of the game and this looks like a good place to start.

where to start....

The RPer behind the toon:
Out of game I am a long time Pen and Paper RPer and have participated in AD&D 2E and 3E, MERPs, GERPS, Paladium, Rifts, and Alternity Games. I still Play D&D to this day on a regular basis.

Lyle Giford:

I am originally from Tyrena, Corellia. There I started in the foot steps of my brother as an Artisan. After many long years of toil I finally decided to specialize and sought my fortune in the ranks of the Architects. My love for the design of buildings and furniture was great and soon I was off traveling the galaxy in search of the right materials and to peddle my ware. It was during one such excursion that I was first introduced to one that would later become my mentor, Harry, a Master of my trade. Harry and I became fast friends and I soon was invited to join his guild the Clandestine Order on Lok. By this time I was an active supporter of the Empire and C-O was by large an Empire aligned affiliation. So I found my self moving to Lok to become a resident in Lava Falls.

Business was good as was life in Lava Falls, but then the unthinkable happened. Rebel scum attacked and destroyed both of the Imperial bases near our great city. Heat broken many of my friends seemed to drift away... eventually the city turned into a ghost town and I decided to move on. I traveled back to my home town and stayed with a cousin for a while. That was when I discovered that I no longer had the love for my trade I once did.

I got caught up in a bad crowd and got into many street brawls and bar fights. My life was a mess and spiraled further down as I started using illegal substances. Then one day, while I was suffering from the hang over of my most recent spice binge, I was attack by a swoop gang. A passing Teras Kasi Artist saved my life and that was the day my life turned around. I started to get back into shape and honing my skills after many months of training I began a sojourn that eventually lead me to Bela Vista where I managed to arrange a meeting with a Master of the Teras Kasi Monks. I committed my self to the Monastic Order and have been working at bettering my self ever since. I have made friends along the way and recently found a new home on Rori in the village of Aerie, where a noble group of fine Imperials who call themselves Phoenix were nice enough to take me in.

((I am currently working to master TKA at a leisurely pace and have been working on going into doctor as well. I am a Staff Sergeant in the Imperial Army))
