Since we have a lot of new people here and I plan on moving forward with whats left of the Adaks brothers story I am dumping the cliff notes here. Its better than asking people to read the lengthy, segmented plot lines.
There are three brothers in game:
1) Jabe Adaks (my main character who is dead now)
2) Kushiel Kushel (name explained in the long version)
3) Coiyonite Adaks (my current character)
All three were born to a normal Zabrak family with a long history of clan affiliations and a very rich, and documented lineage in the house of Adaks. Venta'ris, the father, is town mayor of Eva Nikral, Talus. It is a predominantly Zabrak settlement which over time has become an industrialized city. The Adaks family has contributed to many professions over time, but they are first and foremost teras kasi warriors, which is the deepest part of their heritage.
Its important to note that the house of Adaks has been at war with the closely related house of Maul for several generations.
Eva Nikral rested in a valley that rose upward to the shore line of the southern Talus sea. It was an easy target for a natural disaster, but the city's complex shielding system was always on standby. Mayor Venta'ris Adaks had plans for the city to become a stronghold for the resistance which would eventually become the rebel alliance. He pledged the city as a capitol of operations for the alliance and housed some of the old republic Jedi during some of their darkest times.
Unknowing to most people, Venta'ris was force sensitive. He modified a vibro knuckler to work double as a light saber. Venta'ris did not seek training from the Jedi, but instead adopted his own force enhanced tactics to his teras kasi skills. His blade saber is, which was recovered by Kushiel is on display in the Nocturnus Desert Angel cantina.
It was the Jedi in town that ended up undoing the city. The Sith destroyed the city during their hunt for them. The Sith came as regular citizens and integrated their lives in to the city, playing a game of chess with the force, "feeling" the city out for Jedi and dissidents. If not for clever placement of ysalimiri the city would have fallen much sooner.
When they struck it was without coordination of the Imperial navy. Both Rebels and Imperials struggled to reach the city when the Sith finally began their attack. Neither arrived in time. Venta'ris killed a Sith apprentice during his attempted escape. The Sith were deeply insulted that a teras kasi managed to kill one of their own. Knowing he was most likely force sensitive and that he would no doubt be able to watch events after his death, the Sith decided to let him die with his wife and took the children from the city so he would watch them grow to reject all of his teachings.
A large explosion at the southern shore line collapsed the mountain at the southern end of town and the ocean spilled in to the valley, destroying the town. To this day no one knows the exact nature of the explosion, some have guessed it came from a firing system that was a proof of concept for the Death Star. Others believe the Sith rallied around the mount and used the force to destroy the town.
There really are remains of a buried city on the southern Talus shore line in the game. Perhaps an event will take some of you there soon.
Jabe, Kushiel and Coiyonite were taken on an emergency barge by an assortment of men assisting the Sith. Coiyonite who was throwing up even before he got on the barge was the center of attention as they took off from the flooding town. Jabe and Kushiel got to look down and see their parents die in the raging flood. Kushiel promised Jabe (who was about 7) that father would catch them if they jumped. They jumped off the barge in to the raging ocean waters below. They left Coiyonite who was the only reason they were able to escape and all three ended up seperated after the jump.
Jabe and Kushiel eventually re-united and found a home in Nocturnus after a good 15 years apart. Coiyonite came back to Jabe after searching for him through the force. By this time, the Sith have had their way with Coiyonite for these many years. They sent Coiyonite to the outer rim to convert his brothers and to finish the job of punishing their father. Coiyonite was never a genuine Sith. They did not spend the right time with him, but instead forced their ways on him in an unnatural progression.
Coiyonite made his first appearance to Jabe convincing him to become Imperial. Coiyonite's misuse of the force for mind control was killing Jabe. Jabe decided to take his own life insetad of empowering Coiyonite any further. After his death, Coiyonite took over Jabe's guild (United Frontier) and changed it to Silent Midnight. Coiyonite pursued the brief side quest of taking the town of Nocturnus over, because to Coiyonite Nocturnus represents a new Eva Nikral in a figurative sense. The take over failed and the guild all but crumbled. Coiyonite has decided to abandon that objective and simply pursue the death of his brother, Kushiel. Kushiel remains a righteous, unwaivering rebel like Venta'ris.
And here we are... Coiyonite is quietly rebuilding his "midnight army" and pursuing his brother like a hunter does his prey. He can not rest until the mission to destroy his father's legacy is complete. But now he must do it the hard way, because his force powers are too busy stiving off bounties against him. At the same time, Coiyonite is away from his masters for the first time ever and is discovering what it is to be himself, indulge in the vices of spice and explore his desire for the gorgeous women he has been exposed to. It is difficult to say how the story will end now, because its up to you...

Brief Rundown of the Adaks Legacy
Good stuff! Thank you for posting that.
BTW, I had fun roleplaying with you the other night. Especially when I was able to break you out of your monologue.
You have a very rich and interesting story.

Its kinda because of that I wanted to post my story out of character. My current demeanor is heavily involved with this story line. So instead of a very long rp to explain things, I'd rather spill it here as public knowledge.Ekade wrote:BTW, I had fun roleplaying with you the other night. So basically, this post can be treated as hear-say so we can rp around the long explanations in the future.
I also enjoyed role-playing with you, you were very attentive (despite my blabbering), which is rare. There is much for our characters to discuss because Coiyonite is fascinated with you, but not for the typical reasons that a man would be fascinated with a woman. I'll leave the rest for the next time we meet in game.

No thank you. I was feeling a little lost as to what was going on.
I wish other would post the "Reader's Digest" version of their story.
What I would like to suggest is a 'Character Diary' Section. The rule would be that each character starts a thread. No one else posts replys, only the person who started it adds to it. When the character dies, the thread is locked.

That is the exact intension of the Characters Bios that now dynamically appear on our site. The Backgrounds in your Bios should be short and sweet, giving people enough to go on to understand the jist of your character without having to read you entire story. Meanwhile in the Tales section of the site people can have their entire story there, either background or just a large side-story.Isleh wrote:No thank you. We know folks want to tell the whole shebang but we also want people to use the site profiles as a way to browse people's characters and use that to interact better.

Speaking of the Tales section, there is a story I need to finish.Seret Sajet wrote:That is the exact intension of the Characters Bios that now dynamically appear on our site. Maybe I shoul look into the search feature here as well. There is a lot going on in the Tales part and it's kinda confusing to me. A jumble of parts of stories. some related and some not.

What exactly do you mean? Is there parts that don't make any sense as it is now. Right now we're still adding content, its not finished yet. I'm not trying to disprove what you're saying, I'm just looking for feedback so we can improve it before the main site goes live officially.Isleh wrote: Speaking of the Tales section, there is a story I need to finish.
