It's 2:06 AM and I'm going to bed. I just spent the last 4 hours in Kessel, and not once did a Rebel Corvette spawn. Three Imperial Ones spawned in that time.
I'm so pissed I don't even know what to say.
Still Not Master
I feel your pain.
Had it down to 53% yesterday afternoon just to watch it hyper off into the blackness of space.

I feel for you guys. I am looking forward to my try with both eager anticipation and a little bit of apprehension. I hear many people are very frustrated.. and that is what worries me a bit.
If I can help in any way, let me know. My thinking is that we all help eachother in this regard.

Y'know what I just realized? After I kill the corvette (which may be today, but probably tomorrow) I will have nothing left to do in JtL.

You've hit on the thing that I think all video games, MMO or not, must suffer, and why I'm not barrelling through JtL as fast as I possibly can, and also why I'm skeptical about WoW or EQ2 being awesome new games filled with content. Once missions are done, you're back to the same thing...it's about the people you play with, the community, your exploring of the world, what you make of the game.TramelRaggs wrote:Y'know what I just realized? Don't think of it as having nothing to do in JtL...think of it as an accomplishment, and a chance to take a break from space grinding and explore space a little, maybe help others with their missions...if that doesn't interest you at all, then I dunno. You gotta find your own path.

This is why I am not in any big hurry to become a TIE fighter ace. I am still sitting at the beginning of Tier 2 missions and I really don't care. If I become a master now or in a year from now I will still have the same opportunities to fight twith the best of 'em when I get there.Dwilah wrote:You've hit on the thing that I think all video games, MMO or not, must suffer, and why I'm not barrelling through JtL as fast as I possibly can, and also why I'm skeptical about WoW or EQ2 being awesome new games filled with content. Dev provided content will ALWAYS be a finite thing.. no matter what the game. Look at a game like Baldurs Gate 2.. it is all content.. yet after 80-100 hours, you are DONE. There is nothing else.
The reason why so many of us are drawn to MMO games is that we realize interacting with other characters is a source of endless enjoyment.
Tramel, along with many of us, have slipped into power-gamer mode with JTL. And why not? It is fun and we are enjoying ourselves. Invariably the content will be consumed. Who is to blame if we powergame through JTL in 2-4 weeks and wonder why there is nothing left to do?
It all comes back to RP.. the one thing that is limitless as it is based on imagination and creativity. In fact, I think the RP is gonna get really good once the JTL craze dies down. JTL is giving us a nice little break from having to think RP constantly, but I know ideas are cooking.

Oh yeah?Novall wrote:Soon as my mercs can star using certain craft...I'm gonna give you all some space content :P
As much as I loathe ground PVP.. I might give the space PVP a try. It seems like a much more level playing field.. even though I can tell people like Novall and Tramel are very far ahead of me in regards to obtaining uber equiptment.
On the ground, only 56% of my skill points are combat oriented so I stand no chance against the average PVP'er (also considering fencer can only do 2 types of damage.. and most armor is 80% kinetic, and the PVP'ers use stun resist PSG's).
In space, the game is equiptment.. and the strategy is balancing speed and manuverability with mass. It's still fun because the FOTM concept does not yet exist in space.. and hopefully it never will. I'd like to see space be a rock-paper-scissors game. As in.. a multiplayer ship gets eaten by a heavy fighter, which gets picked apart by a light fighter, which can't touch a heavy multipplayer ship, etc.
Ideally we'd see some group tactics in space.. where the people who cooperate win.. not just the people with the l337 l3wt.

i dont think there will ever be a FOTM in space cause it all boils down to not yor skills but your SKILLS and equipment and with the 25% dmg reduction hiting live soon we will see moreintense PvP in space which will have me all giddy inside just like when Novall said "I am in too kirt!" sorry novall i will never let that go EVER!..
But yea space pvp will be great atleast i hope it will but wait till smugglers can slice ship parts you will see another higher lvl of pvp in space i just hope they allow smugs to slice my speeder i wanna go faster!
