I don't have a particular link for y'al, but I noticed this today whilst cruising through the Galactic Civil War forum.

I think that there should be a new profession in the combat upgrade.

Seriously. I have never worked a day in my life on a video game. Not one. Not even some lame ass flash game with bad english. But apparently I am the only person who hasn't, because according to everyone that posts in those forums, everyone is a friggin' expert on how this game should be developed. I mean with THAT much talent, SOE could hire them all and produce the next blockbuster game of the year, no problems.

Its amazing. To read the pissing and moaning of a bunch of impotent jerks is really irritating. I really hope that these people cancel their subscriptions and stop killing my frame rates, fast.

Anybody else find the SOE forums as entertaining as I do?

Bitching is part of a gamer's nature, its true, but some people make it their life (no I'm not talking about X'an, he's just good at it). Thats just sad.

But we have to bitch. I mean last night I spent 1.5 million credits on a Berserker Rifle schematic and barrel only to find out the barrels that are dropping have no serial number and do not show up in the crafting process. So I have 1.5 million worth of nothing in my inventory and I just have to wait and hope the devs will fix it, though they have not even acknowledged the fact that the problem exists yet.

So that kind of bitching lets us get it off our chest and move in. I'm not telling the devs HOW to do their jobs, I'm just pissed at the cirucumstances.

The only think I ever wonder about the Dev's is if they have ever watched Star Wars or know anything about the genre at all.

However I dont post about it on the forums My usual posts are kept to bashing GarVa for deleting thought provoking threads.

They asked for it when they say "We want your feedback" and I can't help but say "WTF was SOE thinking?" on a few things.

You ain't freaking kidding Novall.. Garve has been HORRIBLE lately. Every good post over there get's locked or deleted. Yet the terrabytes of asinine drivel go untouched. It is freaking brutal.

I almost suggested that they use these forums to discuss legitimate topics, but I did not want to open the door to too many dumbasses.

I replied to a JtL "now the SW experience is complete" post by Q3PO with a very calm and collected post asking where about 30 elements of the Star Wars movies were (including the Galactic Civil War). Well, that post was the 4th reply and lasted about 1 hour before it was deleted and my account suspended from posting. GarVa was even nice enough to forward a copy of the forum policies to my e-mail. What a pal. I guess majority opinions are not tolerated by GarVa.

I'm curious, exactly what part of those handy-dandy forum policies did you voilate over there? Free-thinking? We'll have none of that sir.

I think this all comes back to Del'tars post. Why are their so many complainers over at SOE? Well if you run the forums by locking and deleting every outspoken thread then you're just going to push out the good people (and bring more people to us) and leave behind the jackasses. Simple as that.
