Every family has got one. You know...the one who couldn't "talk real good" but was always the first one picked for the football team when you played at the park down the street.

Now, I am not saying that all jocks are dumb...there are a lot of very intelligent people who are professional athletes. They are the ones that do very little speaking. The ones who do a lot of the talking need to take their money, hire pitbull lawyers, and sue the crap out of whatever school districts deprived them of an equal education when they were children...like this guy.

I just heard about this yesterday on the news and I have to say that with all of the sour things that we hear and see people do, this is very ugly.

Give the ball to the city. It isn't just any game ball. If a fan caught it and wanted to sell it I could understand, but a player should give it up. Maybe I'm just old fashioned about these type of things though, but I'm surprised that lynching parties aren't being formed for this guy.

One thing that I'm not surprised about is the reaction of John Henry, the owner. In my real life job I've encountered him. My company manages his Falcon 2000 (luxury jet). What a shvantz!

I could easily see him privately telling that player to keep it so he could finagle it later for himself after the heat goes down.
