Why they all gotta be angry and violent names huh? What about the peaceful Trandosians like Inukkchuk meaning "Runs in fields of roses" and Ssschapaka which means "makes decorative baskets"?

Trandoshan names are predominantly masculine mainly because of the archaic and sexist Trandoshan mentality that says that only those who hunt or other wise earn resprct (i.e., the males) deserve names. Consequently, the Trandoshan language has no feminnine names and very few gender-neutral names. Trandoshan females are either breeding stock or thought of as "one of the hunters," and therefore, deserving of a true (masculine) name.

The book was made by Wizards of the Coast. I have nearly all of the Star Wars game book they've put out with the exception of Genosis and the Rim Worlds.
