Way back when Galaxies first started and for some unexplainable reason nearlly all the German players flocked to Gorath there was some losser who named himself Adolf Hitler. I'm not kidding this is what the guy named himself. About a month latter he was banned with good reason. To bad it took an extremly offensive name for the DEVs to do any thing about it.

Anyone recall the two famous griefers on our server from days gone past?

Its not that those are bad names, its the fact that they are the names of my two of my favorite characters from one of my all-time favorite anime series (Cowboy Bebop) and they were sullied by two idiots who did nothing but scam and grief other players.
Its bad when crappy names are used. Its worse when good names are used by bad players.

LMAO yeah I remeber them. I also remember a couple of guys who where unlucky enough to try those names after the originals got the boot. There was so many people around still that had a bone to pick with the originalls and thought the new guys where them. Such an unfortunate thing that they would sully two perfectly good names so badly.
Now me personally I hate 3 types of names.
1. Attempts to look or sound like Star Wars main character names.
EX: Hung Solow, Buke Lyewalker, Manlo Carrissyton
I hate them for the simple reason that they think they are clever but they are not. They end up making the person look like they're making fun of those characters. Try just a shred of creativity.
2. Names which attempt to convey the greatness of the characters
EX: Bobthegreat, JoeyFantastic, MrAwesome
Chances are if you have to give yourself a title showing how great you are you are anything but great. This titles don't make people like you, they make people laugh at you. Don't bother.
3. Improper use of special characters in the name
EX: -THEMAN-, -LookIhavedashesinmyname-
For some reason this really bugs me. At this point you didn't give yourself a name, you gave yourself a title and that's just lame. Having dashes before and after your name doesn't emphasize anything other than the fact that you're 35 years old and live in your parents basement and not because you're afraid to move out, because you physically can't leave the basement.
Just my 2 cents.

Haha. You nailed it. There are very few Jedi that have unique names. I'm with Jedi all the time and I can't really think of but a handful.
As I was grinding I took a lot of time thinking about what I would call my Jedi. As I had named Maristaz and Marista similar so that people could easily identify my characters, I wanted Dillion to be different.
Names like
Vengence
Solidfox
Cappen Pancho
God Money
Gawd Father
-Touch-
are so rediculous to me when you see them on a Jedi.
It goes along with every other character in the game though. And I disagree. This is not a age thing. There are plenty of older players that have decided to name their characters just as dumb.
